can anybody help me how to run an application on windows on linux os platfrom. is it possible?

Actually is possible create a virtual machineat kernel level with "KVM" application, so you can install windows on your linux os ..... for more informations see the KVM project

It rather depends on which application you wish to use. If you install Crossover Office then you will be able to install a selection of Windows software, which includes Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop.
