I use orange juice as a base, usually about 6 ounces. I add two bannanas and puree. You can use a food processor or a blender. I also like to add necatrines and strawberries, together or sepeately, if they are in season. Sometimes I will also add a splash of cranberry juice.

I agree- frozen fruit is fantastic and eliminates the need for ice. I use frozen fruit- strawberries, peaches, and raspberries are my favorites- plain or vanilla yogurt, and a bit of milk or juice (any kind). Dump in the blender, and there it is.

I know that I make a smoothie for me & my other half on a regular basis that the both of us absolutely love! It is always full of flavor & also rather nutritious & I know that I will make this for the two of us.. Whenever we need a boost to make us feel more energized! I included two recipes below that both me & my other half enjoy. And that I make for us quite often. I hope if you end up trying both smoothies that you end up liking them just as much as we do! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx "Strawberry Banana Smoothie." Ingredients are as follows: - A blender of course - 1 package. frozen strawberries - 6 - 7 ripe bananas - 1 bag of frozen ice - 1/2 cup of sugar - 2 cups frozen or fresh orange juice Directions are as follows: - Set up the blender. Pour enough ice to come about 2 inches from the top. Place bagged ice back in freezer. - Thaw strawberries as directed on container. Pour thawed strawberries over top of the ice in blender. - Start blender to get the ice and fruit mixing together. If this does not mix that well, pour in roughly a half a cup of orange juice and run the blender again. - If this still is not working pour a little bit more of the orange juice into the blender. It should be wanting to blend by now. - Peel and drop bananas by halves into blender and run blender again. Bananas should now be mixing in with the rest of the mixture. - After fruit and ice has all mixed together well enough, pour sugar into mixture and continue blending. - Once you get to your desired consistency, pour into cups and serve chilled. I hope that the smoothies work out for you and that they taste good. I know that me and my other half have them quite often and they have a tendency to give me a boost in energy personally when I need it most. Plus, I find they're filling as well so when I'm feeling a little hungry or that I just need something to fill my stomach they hit the spot! There a nice little snack or a great drink to have along with your supper in my opinion! . . Thanks for letting me share! xx

I use 1/2 orange, 1/2 apple, grapes, strawberries, pineapple, some kind of shake mix or protein and a little sweetner to taste. I love it.

I use bananas in all my smoothies. I mean ripe bananas that I have cut up into pieces and froze. It is much better than ice and can give any smoothie a milkshake taste even though it is healthy. Try frozen strawberries, frozen bananas and vanilla flavored soya milk. MMMMMMMMMM
