This is an actor I have enjoyed in many movies. I first saw him in the one Twilight Zone where he played Death and I've enjoyed his acting since. Some of my favorite movies with him are Brubaker, The Natural, Legal Eagles, Sneakers and The Last Castle. He's always so good. Now I do admit I haven't seen all his movies but the ones I have seen I've really enjoyed. How about you? Do you have any favorites of his? Any one should avoid? For more information on him check here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000602/

I love Roabert Redford in "Barefoot in the Park". It's from 1967 or so, he's really young in it and incredibly handsome. Jane Fonda plays his wife. It's really a cute movie!

I know the movie :) He was very young in that one but so cute. Have you seen The Last Castle? He was excellent in it and still looks very good.

I also like Robert Redford - Brubaker. He is a cool, dashingly rugged and talented actor. He also a producer and director.

Brubaker is an excellent movie. I love watching it. Of course it's based on a true story as well which makes it even more powerful. He did a fantasitc job in that one.

I remember Robert Redford on Twilight Zone too...must be showing my age! I haven't really followed his career but he always seemed very genuine and down to earth. When ever I think of him I also think about Paul Newman. Why they link up in my mind that way is a mystery to me because I never saw that movie "The Sting". It's probaby because they come from that same era of entertainment.

Hehe yeah me too, the age bit I mean. He did do a couple of movies with Newman and I agree it can be easy to link them together. They did do Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid though so that might be why. The Sting has some great parts in it but it has some slow sections as well.

I've only seen one of his movies. It was called "Downhill Racer, and was about the winter Olympic Games. I really liked his acting in this movie.

No that is one I haven't seen. If you liked him in that try Sneakers, that was an excellent movie with some great actors in it besides just him.

Robert Redford's filmography is so extensive - I would like to know who has seen every single one of his works. I would have to say that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was one of my favorites. Brubaker was right up there too. I didn't like Out of Africa - I found the movie to be a bit of a "sleeper".

I know I haven't seen them all, there are a few I would like to see. I agree I couldn't get through all of Out Of Africa. It was just too slow for me. Brubaker was fantastic though and it's based on a true story.

I love Robert Redford! My two absolute favorites are Barefoot in the Park and The Way We Were, but I can't think of a performance of his that I didn't enjoy. Even older now, he is so physically beautiful (and especially in the two movies I listed, although that alone is not the reason why I love them). And he has such a great way about him. He's just amazing. I love him!

I agree with you there. He is very good looking. Always was and even now at his current age he can still turn heads. He is one of those actors that has managed to get better with age.

Robert Redford is one of those actors you can never put a tag on. I loved him in 'Up Close and Personal.' I didn't expect to cry in that movied, but I did. On the other hand, I didn't care at all for 'The Horse Whisperer.' He was great in it, but I didn't like the movie. And one of my mom's favorite movies is 'The Sting.' I wonder if very many people saw the movie he did with Jennifer Lopez?

It wasn't terribly wide released, but it also didn't stay in theaters long. I think that could be the fault of Ms. Lopez, not Robert Redford.

I love, love, love Robert Redford. He is amazing in every role. But if you don't like to see Robert as a anti-hero,don't see Inside Daisy Clover or This Property Is Condemed. With Inside Daisy Clover, he plays a movie idol that is a cad. And with This Property is Condemed he plays a railroad worker that goes town to town to lay off railroad workers. He is self-righteous. Don't get me wrong, Robert is great in both roles. It is just a matter of taste. I like him in both. In fact This Property Is Condemed is one of my favorite films. The one role I don't like, but he is great in, is Barefoot In the Park.My favorite role og his is Out of Africa.A romantic lead go figure. And I like him in Electric Horseman. He plays a cowboy who does something wrong for all the right reasons. And Three Days Of the Condor where he is caught up in a series of events that have put his life in danger.

I will admit I haven't seen those but I think I'd like to. I like it when actors play characters outside of the norm for them. I think it makes it more interesting. There are a few movies I love for that reason, like "Father Goose" where Cary Grant plays a scruffy drunk.

I like every movie I've seen him in, and I own quite a few too. I really liked The Natural, Legal Eagles, and The Way We Were. The man is not only a gifted actor but a gifted director as well, and very attractive, even at the age he is now, I mean I haven't seen many guys his age that are still nice looking.

My three favorite movies that I never tire of seeing him in is 1. The Way We Were 2. Indecent Proposal 3. Up Close and Personal The leading ladies in each of these movies were every bit as strong character as Robert Redford was. Each in their own way. Thanks for the walk down memory lane Now I am gonna go fire up my Netflix and see what I can watch with a good cup of tea!

Hi! He's one of my favorite actors too and I always appreciate him in the Natural and Sneakers. There are some others I like too such as butch cassidy and the sting but I find that I have to be in a certain mood to truly appreciate them. I'm just glad we have someone who is not only a good actor but one who is strong enough to follow his consciences. Not to say others don't but he seems to be one of the few that the press don't endlessly question.
