Forget diets. If you’re losing weight it’s a struggle enough without having to think about what foods you can and can’t have because a diet says so. Find out the calorie content of the foods you each, there is somewhere on the internet and can work out how much you should be eating in relation to your lifestyle. I can't remember the link I'm afraid, sorry! All foods are healthy, moderation is the key, so cut back. Don’t eat in between meals. (That has helped me massively) It may be hard at the start but once it becomes habit you won’t think of eating between a meal ever again. It’s a lifestyle change, [people are generally overweight because they’re eating too much and not exercising enough. Though there maybe emotionally issues you also need to confront too, think about why you got to this state, and what it is currently preventing you from doing. I found having something to focus on in the future inspired me massively in the beginning, also if you have a lot to lose it can seem like hell, I found hunting down pictures of real weight loss, before and after pictures was a massive boost to morale, it made it seem like it is possible, and it is! I didn’t bring exercise into my weight loss straight way, but I’d recommend starting as soon as you can, even if it’s just five minutes a day, there is no need for a “All or nothing” mentality, it all adds up. I started going swimming when I was massively overweight. I felt like a beach whale going into a pool, but I did it and felt better for it and it is one of the best exercises for weight loss, or at least I think so. Most people who go swimming aren’t ‘thin’ and it’s true internationally as I’ve spoken to people about it, you’ll find old people and forty year old aged men, and a few people your own age attempting to do the exact same thing; losing weight. Check out these websites www.3fatchicks.com www.sparkpeople.com http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/Index.html And for motivation check out here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=200 Are you planning on losing weight? Have you got a lot to lose?

I want to lose about 35 pounds. I already watch what I eat and go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week. My body just seems to resist losing weight. I was wondering what works for others.

And I went off on one big speil! :P Sorry! Make sure you're eating enough, if you're not, your body can believe your hard up for food and fight against your fight to lose weight, and horde it all.

The best way to lose weight is a combination of diet (eat sensibly), moderate exercise (exercise sensibly) and loads and loads of self motivation! No more than 20 minutes of exercise atleast 4 or 5 times per week is necessary. That way you burn off the glycogen stores and these are then replenished from the fat in your body in the next 12 to 16 hours.

Eat less, exercise more- simple as that. Find out how many calories per day you typically eat by have a food diary for about a week(during christmas now probably isnt the best time for that:) ) Once you find that out, look up your RMR(Resting Metabolic Rate) online. This is the ammount of calories your body needs just to keep you alive. You typically do not want to go below that number. Usually start by dropping at least 500 calories off your normal intake as long as that doesn't put you below RMR. If it does, only go down to RMR and exercise more to make up for the difference. Exercise does nont need to be anything real strenuous to start. Walk 45 minutes a day or so many miles- however you prefer to look at it. caloriesperhour.com is a great place for calculating a lot of this. sparkpeople.com also helps a lot it has a free online weightloss meal planner and exercise planner thing. Oh and make sure you're getting your 8 glasses of water a day and eat more real food and less processed food

WOW...this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. You can certainly get up to a decent target heart rate without sweating. Everyone's different man..don't give out advice when you aren't qualified to do so.

Try out Yoga. Its a good way to stretch ur muscles and that alone ll help in reducing ur weight. + u dont ve to it by exerting, instead u can do it while trying to relax. There r books available specifically to reduce weight via yoga. Try them. Such exercises actually help u in improving ur matabolism and as a result u ll get more active, alert and more confident. As a result, u ll lose weight. Try it. Im myself doing only 2 yoga exercises, one for relaxation and one for reducing my thighs. They ve helped me.

Try a healthy combination between exercise, with long walks, and eat only healthy foods, for sure you loose weight. Some diets are good but when we stop then we fall again at th same mistakes and get that loss weight again.

I have said this in a million posts (30) I am an online personal trainer and I have helped countless numbers of clients lose weight without hands on work! I'll tell you all this...weight loss comes with STRICT diet and a good training regimen including weights and cardio. I have designed training plans for all different goals and all different sizes of people...if you stick to a well thought out plan you will lose weight! Meal placement is also a huge thing..try eating 7-8 very small meals throughout the day. The body loves a set schedule so throw it off once a week with a "cheat meal" Contact me for more details..this is no "spamming" just a chance to make your life better....also contact me if you have any simple questions I have no problem helping people out "off the clock" lol :):)

I have had three children and the only thing that has worked for me is a strict diet and exercise. To steadily lose weight I have to work out 5 to 6 days a week and be very careful about what I eat. I usually let up a bit once a week and then right back to the grind.

i saw the lindora website, and i think that it motivated me to stay focused on my goals. i dont want to get to the point where i feel so helpless, or unfocused, that i can't lose 10% of my bodyweight without good ol' fashioned self control. after all th diets i've seen my family pay for- and fail/ gain the weight back- i think i'm ready to get my self together.

First off right when you get up drink a 12 oz glass of water eat a banana wait 20 minutes then eat your breakfast... Then drink a 12 oz glass of water before every meal... Exercise before you eat but allow your body to cool down first before drinking that water. This alone should have a dramatic impact, as well as drinking water through out the day. Most people mistake thirst for hunger - DNatureofDTrain

The first importent thing is regular/daily exercise and secondly it should be the Balenced diet The exercise means a walk close to 8 Kms daily(i.e. 4 in the morning &4 in the evening. The systematic "YOGAS", IF ONE IS NOT AWARE OF IT, CAN CONSULT THE EXPERTS IN THIS FIELD. The diet should be balenced from vitamin, calories & Quantity point of view. This depends upon person to person as there can be diffrence in work he does his physic and health. Food should be free from sugar,Fats, etc. Most importent thing in doing this ic consistancy inthis otherwise you may gain weight to the previous level even in ten persent of the time you took to bring it down. FINE?

top priority in losing weight is exercise and cardio activities. its the safest, most effective and fastest way to lose weight and slim down. next is having proper diet, you'll never bulk up once your eating the right foods. third is eating in small proportions. we gain weight fast once we make it a habit to eat much in less ettings. it would be better to eat from time to time in small amounts rather than to eat 3 times a day in full meals. and of course the psychological side. if you feel good about yourself, you'll really lose weight and look good. our body, our metabolism is dependent on our mind. what we think is what we become.
