Alot of people do! I don't really see the problem in that... Is it because of popularity? Attention maybe?

I care too much what other people think about me. I wish I didn't but I have never had any friends all my life so it isn't easy to get past not woryying about what others think about me. I am an adult now and still have no friends to hang out with or spend time with or even talk to. I wish I did and then maybe I wouldn't feel this way. I am always concerned about the way I look or how people see me or what they think abbout me. I really don't care about the attention. It just to be noticed, period.

certainly, we all care about what others think of us. Most people (if not all) often do things that they think people will respond postively to. As a matter of fact we even live up to the expectations of others without realizing it at times. Some may argue that they are trend setters but even in that sense it shows that their very actions are as a result of the way they are perceived by others.

I think it's human nature that makes everyone care, to some extent, what others think of them. We all want to be accepted and seen as someone who contributes in a worthwhile manner to whatever roles we find ourselves in. With that said, I find that I care somewhat less now, as an adult, what people think of me than I did when I was younger. I suppose for teenagers, it's all about popularity and where you stand with your peers. Now, I make the decisions that are best for me and my family, based on my experience, education, beliefs and world view. And if those don't jive with someone else - well, that's their problem, not mine. :)
