do you also brush your tongue when you brush your teeth?it is said that 70% of cavities are found in the tongue and not on the teeth?by cleaning your tongue regularly it can cured bad breath problems. we all know that brushing teeth twice a day would be enough to maintain our teeth and keep away from cavaties but most of us dont know that proper hygiene is also brushing of the tongue.but through brushing tongue would helped freshens our breath because it is where the bacteria are more stored and triggers decay and resulting to bad odors when it is not cleaned. do you brush your tongue when you brush your teeth?

Yes I brush my tongue too. I was taught to do this when I was young. All I knew was it caused bad breath. I didn't know that it caused 70% of cavities. That's a large amount.

I brush my teeth and my tongue. There are a lot of germs on the tongue and brushing kills them and gives you fresh breath. If I am going to go to the time of brushing my teeth I am going to take the time to do the tongue. Both are dirty and need the maintance.

Yup, I brush my tongue too. I feels that my breath is fresher. But I've also heard before that the tongue should be brushed with just adequate strength. Brushing with too much force is not good for the tonuge. But I'm not sure how true it is.

Yes, I do brush my tongue after my friend told me that it is advisable to brush your tongue when you brush your teeth to maintain a lot fresher breathe. I also posted the same discussion here like a week ago and am surprised with the number of responses I got. And most of them are telling me that it really helps to get a fresh breathe if you brush your tongue. So am training myself to get used to it now.. lol

Yes I do brush my tongue along with my teeth. I also brush my cheeks and the roof of my mouth. I am gentler on the cheeks, roof nad tongue than on the teeth but it is important to do all areas. I recently took my daughter to the dentist and asked them to show her how to properly brush her teeth and the included the roof, cheeks, and tongue. The dentist explained to my daughter how the bad stuff doens't just stick to the teeth and ignoring the rest of your mouth is just like washing only half of your hair. I figure I am alreadyin there so it really isn't any big to deal to brush everything.

I always brush my tongue when I brush my teeth. I don't really think about it, I just automatically do it.
