is the helmet compulsary?

Hmm.. that is an interesting question. In fact one of my sardar friends used to wear helmets, but then he did not wear a whole turban but only small patka on the top. But once the concept that they have to wear a helmet comes along, I am pretty sure helmets large enough would come up and that would resolve their problem. Cheers! Ram
