hi there. its okay if your son is not talking that much. boys are really slow when it comes to verbal skills. unlike girls who talk that early. don't panic about it, okay.. perhaps when your son reaches 4 or 5, he will learn to talk more. my brothers started talking sentences when they were around 5 to 6years old. boys are advanced when it comes to motor skills but slow when it comes to verbal skills.

My son is almost 17 months and the only thing he really says is "mom" and "da da". I was concerned because both of my girls were really starting to talk by now. When I said something to my MIL she pointed out that part of it could be that since he is the youngest everyone tends to "speak for him". If he wants something he usually wither gets it himself or just points and makes noise until one of us says it for him and then he nods or shakes his head. I told my girls we need to stop "speaking for him" and the rest of the family is making an effort also. Don't stress about it (easier said than done) if he's anything like my 4 year old he'll just start talking one day and never hush up! LOL
