In their first practice game of the World Cup, India defeated the Netherlands by a huge margin of 182 runs. batting first, India scored 300/9 largely due to a well built 74(92) by Dravid and an impressive 61(59) by the "master" Sachin Tendulkar. In reply, Netherlands was bowled out for 118 runs. Yuvraj took 4/12. Bhajji and Kumble took 2 wickets each and Pathan and Munaf chipped in with a wicket each. Overall, an impressive performance by the Indians except for Sehwag who was looking good but was bowled for only 28.

Yeah it is good news that India defeated the Netherlands in such emphatic fashion. Then sachin and dravid got some valuable match practice at start of tournament. then bolwing was alos good esp. spinners yuvraj, kumble, bhajji. Pathan had a decent outing and hopefully will do better against west indies, which will test his form. if he strikes good form he will be asset to the indian team in this world cup both with batting and bowling. Sehwag once against flatterd to decieve. He shouldn't open against bangladesh if he perfoms like this windies too. And pathan should be included in his place in the team. I feel the first real test of indian team in this world cup campaign will be against windies. Hopefully Indian team will come out flying colours and will be ready for bangladesh on march 17th.
