Besides rubber stamps (I have a drawer full) and paper punches (I have about 15), what do you use?

A few years ago I got into making my own paper. I would save grass clippings, onion skins, leftover scraps of cotton and make them into paper. When they were dry I would use it for greeting cards, gift tags, and mats for photos. I still have some around here somewhere. (We moved, so it's still in a box.) I liked the rubber stamps, paints (I was also inspired by Donna Dewberry's One Stroke Painting technique!) glitter, and just about anything to have fun. I had a lot of fun with it!

I sometimes use the wrapping paper that I wrap the gift with or something similar, I just fol it in half and cut around the picture or a nice shape and write on the inside. Not really fancy but its nice and cheap.

I use fabric, actually. And for paper, I have those scissors which all cut different edges - wavy, scalloped, lacy, etc.

I will often make my own gift tags out of old cards that I got either for Christmas or my birthday. You can cut designs out and use them for all sorts of things. As for things that I've made cards out of, I will sometimes stamp the crads and then add accents with embroidery thread. It's really easy to punch through the paper and as long as you don't pull too hard, the effect is really quite nice. I will also add accents from scrap booking paper, stickers, even magazines.

Hi! I often make my own cards too, when I have extra time. I am also into scrapbooking therefore many times I use some of my scrapbooking stuff to make the cards. I often use embelleshments, or I attach embelleshments with brads. Sometimes I attach things with ribbon. I also have cardstock that I use for scrapbooking and I'll fold that heavy paper over to make it into a card. I'll then take a matching piece of card stock and fold it up to make an envelope. Sometimes I just fold the cardstock in half and punch holes along the side and feed ribbon through. This can serve as an envelope also. I'm intersted to read anyone else's creative ideas :)
