I just bought a NY Lottery ticket and if I win millions I will : 1. Pay all my bills 2. Pay all my Mother-in-laws bills 3. Pay my kids bills, pay off their homes and set up college funds for my grandkids. 4. Buy a large farm with lots of land and build some bunkhouses.Fill the stalls with horses and the fields with animals. All the animals I would take would be injured, abused,or unwanted for whatever reason.I would hire some disabled folks and get the animals healthy. Then I would set the place up as a camp for sick and disabled kids with theraputic riding lessons etc.i would make sure all of our local kids had a time set aside for them to use it.I would check with the local job corps to see if my farm would quailify for an educational training center for problem youth or high school drop outs.I think that agriculture is important also.I would be helping animals and kids at the same time and be able to hire people that would have a hard time getting a job otherwise.A place where there would be no judgements and everyone would be rich for a few days. It would be a place where boys and girls scouts,4H and other kids could come for camping trips and to do projects. 5.I would invest so that my profits could help the local food banks and set up college funds that could be applied for by doing community service. After that I'd take a nap! What would you do? What is your dream? Raydene Raydene

Hey Raydene, your list looks a lot like what I would do! (Are we related???) LOL Seriously, first & formost would be getting the debt collectors taken care of. Next would be Mother-in-law, kids, & grandkid(s). I'm not real sure about the farm though. I grew up gettin' dirty in the fields & now that I'm in the second half of my life, I don't think this poor old tired body could handle it. I think I'd set up some kind of fund that would continually pay money into my church so they could concentrate more on missions & not have to worry about keeping the furnace running, the roof from leaking, etc. There are some other family members I'd also like to help out. Hm-m-m, college scholarships for doing community service? Think of the good that could do! Blessings, JoannH

That was particually noble. I have to say I would pay off my mothers, sister, aunties and my bills all off, and set up future funds for them so they will have something to fall back on. Then I would set up a bill payment system for myself with some extra money in there so I a backup system for my bills. Then Id prolly invest the rest till such a time I think of what to do with it. I would love to buy something silly with it like a car or land, but would need more info and would like to research it all a bit before I did something that drastic and will have longer term tax/insurance/income considerations that will be around long after the money is gone :P

First thing I would do is pay off all my debts. I would share some of the money with my family. I would buy my daughter a horse. Start an education trust fund for my granddaughter. I would then live off the interest and invest it. We don't pay taxes on lottery winnings in Canada.

If I were to ever win the lottery - which I'm not holding my breathe about as I hardly play - I'd use some of the money to pay off bills, to move to Cali and buy a house, and I'd donate to charities that like ONE and RED.

Oh man the possibilities! I would recky up a percentage to charity and such.. Then i would buy myself a fantastic shop in the town center with some huge studios in it and buy some amaising lights and backgrounds and loads of stuff to take great photos with. Incudling a couple of sexy new professional cameras! And with that also set up a hobby day where young people into photography and come and try out new things and learn hands on about photography. I would also buy a house somewhere abroad, maybe canada as i've always fancied it there... and i would buy a house thing in france for my mum because shes always wanted it, and a sports car for daddy. And a big ol' house for my sister, her fella and their 2 kids and 2 dogs. And splash out aload on close family. ohh the possibilites. :)

A good question, although I do not pay the lotto, I do often day dream about what I would do if I were fortunate enough to come into a big sum of money. After the government takes their share - I would give to the Church (to help keep me honest and from falling into wicked temptations) then I would pay off our debts and fix up this house that has fallen into terrible disrepair due to lack of funds. I would take care of my parents medical needs and build an inlaw apartment on our property so that they can come and visit often and for extended periods. I would purchase a roomier vehicle so the children are not all cramped up when we travel as a family. Other than that, I will have to play it by ear.

Wow Ray you have really put a lot of thought into this haven't you! I've only a vague notion of what I'd do - set up a charitable trust with a big chunk, make sure that my friends and family were ok and then book myself into a private hospital so I could have my back op done! Think I like yours much, much more!

Well, there are things I wanted to have in this world. If I win the lottery, I would buy my dream house, my dream car, i will start up my dream business which has something to do with telecommunications gadgets. In this way I can at least sustain my money on a monthly basis. There are no bills to pay because my wife is an accountant so we manage to budget our monthly expense from what we earn. Of course, I will buy my wife jewelries! especially diamond because diamonds are girls best friends! Hope our dreams of winning the lottery would come true. Cheers!!!

If I won the lottery, I'd pay off all of my bills, purchase a small house, and then I'd invest or just plain bank the money for a while and think about what to do with it. There are a lot of worthy charities, but I've heard too many stories of people who win the lottery and then end up going bankrupt because they're just not used to having all the money.

I havent spend a single money to buy a lottery ticket yet, but i have dreamed of winning a jackpot or finding a treasure that would make me a millionaire. Let say if i win even 1 million dollars, thats a lot of money already for me, in my country that would be about 50 million pesos already. First thing i'll do is to save half of it - (25million pesos or $500,000) in time deposit, so that it cant be withdrawn anytime. Second is to have a new house build that would be big enough for the whole family, my parents and 4 siblings with spare rooms for visitors. Building a house is much cheaper than buying a new one here, and also i'd like a nice Honda car. I'll probably spend $20,000 or a million pesos for the house at most and $14,000 or 700,000 pesos for the car. Third, invest some of the money in good family business. I really like to put up a cozy restaurant - not too fancy. And also put some investment in my father's business. (-$40,000 or 2M pesos) I have no kids or debts so far, so i dont have to worry about that. I'll treat my friends and travel with my family - an asian tour and shopping galore in celebration to having won the lottery. European tour would be great but its much more expensive since there are 7 of us in the family. I'll probably spend $80,000 or 4million pesos. I will also donate $40,000 or 2M pesos to charity. Having done all of the above, i will still be left with a lot of money $306,000 or 15.3 million pesos. Replying to this post, even if make believe, it makes me feel great having a lot of money since you can buy all the material things but it occured to me that having too much could also be a problem - i got confused on what to buy, what to do with the money that it took me sometime to finish this post. =)) Good Luck to you! Hope u win something.
