Does anyone have good recipes for slow cookers??? I love using crock pots but have only a few dishes to make in them. I heard of lasagna in the crock pot but haven't seen a recipe.

I use my crockpot at least 3 times a week. I absolutely love it! One of my family favorites is a Puerto Rican inspired pork chop dish. 4-6 1-inch thick boneless pork chops 3 medium potatoes, peeled and halved 2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce 1 medium onion, sliced into thin rings Goya brand adobo, to taste 3 Tablespoons Goya brand sofrito 2 packets Goya brand sazon Spray the inside of the crock pot with non-stick cooking spray. Place the pork chops on the bottom, and season them with the adobo on both sides. Evenly place the onions on top. Place the pototoes on top of everything. In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, sofrito, and sazon. Pour the sauce mixture over the potatoes. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours. Serve over white rice.

Yes, the Goya products are usually in the same aisle with the taco stuff. The sign above the aisle will usually say something like "ETHNIC FOODS". Be careful...once you start cooking with sazon and sofrito, you will be hooked!

So can you use the sazon and the sofrito on other things and if so...what?! I am always up for something different and new.

We do a pork roast that comes out like pulled pork but not quite - A pork roast A cut up onion 2 sliced apples (we have a small crock pot) and some water We cook it on low for about 7 or 8 hours, and it all comes out tender and sweet. We did this because we were out of potatoes and carrots, but the apple tastes great!

That sounds very nice too! I am sure if you added the potatoes and carrots along with the apples that would be awesome as well. Thanks for the post!!!!!!!!

Ok, here goes...Lasagna no stick spray the cooker. Set aside half can of the tomato sauce for after cooking. Mix your 12 ox of vegetarian sausage srumbles and 1 1/2 cans of sauce. Stir 1 1/2 cups of cottage cheese, 16 oz of shredded mozarella and 1/2 cup parmesan. Place 3/4 cup sauce on bottom of cooker, put 2 strips of noodle atop that. Break on to fill in open areas atop sauce. Spread 1/5 of cheese mix atop that 2 strips of nooodles again, repeat layers three more times. After the last 2 strips of noodles are on put the last of the cheese on and top with sauce. Some cheese will show. cover cook low 5 or 6 hours Can preheat the sauce for serving on the side for those who like it saucier. Should be 10 one cup servings. Try to find Busy People's Slow cooker cookbook by Dawn Hall and Better Homes and Garden Crockery Cookbook Have fun with your cooker. I had a discussion about this and I hope you have even more luck than I did.

I love using my slow cooker for quite a lot of the meals I prepare for me & my other half. Using one is so convenient, so simple, & I love how all of the flavors blend in all together at the same time. I enclosed two recipes that I find are to die for each time I prepare them for me & my other half. I hope if you do decide to try this that you enjoy them as much as me & my other half have. I know that each time I have used my slow cooker that it has helped to blend all of the flavors together.. And it helps make the dish even tastier! Hopefully you like this as much as we do! Thanks for allowing me to share! xx "Slow Cooker BBQ Beef Sandwiches." Then cut the beef in to four pieces. Then place the beef in your slow cooker. - Mix the remaining ingredients except for the buns of course. Then pour all of the ingredients you had mixed over top of the beef. - Cover & cook this dish for on a low setting for 7 to 8 hours or at least until the beef has become tender. - Then remove the beef on to a cutting board. And cut in to thin slices, or you could return to cooker. - Then cover & cook on low heat setting for 20 to 30 minutes longer or at least until the beef is hot. Then fill the buns you have with the beef mixture. Applesauce serves as a great side dish to this apple-flavored pork chop dish. "Apple Pork Chops."
