Your Ideal time to start your dream business...

Hello Maribel. I started my business just over a year ago. I spent 3 months making enough stock to sell and then I tried different markets until I was invited to be a stall holder at the market I'm at now. I went on-line as a .com in early November - so the site is still very new and under constant development whenever I get the time. I didn't consciously decide to start my business, It sort of progressed that way - like it was meant to be. I consider myself to be very lucky that I have found my "dream" occupation. I'm not making much money, but it's early days yet and i'm still buying equipment etc. Perhaps it's not neccesarily about making money per se, but communication the meaning of gemstones and crystals to other people, teaching them of their benefits and having fun along the way! lol

They say the best time to start anything is 'Now'.I believe unless we have the dangerous habit of procrastination, we should plan the launch just like we plan a baby coming into the family.To think of it closely,business, isn't much different than our own child.When it doesn't do well we bleed and when it's soaring we are in high spirits , just the way with our children. If I have to start a business , most probably it will be online.I haven't thought out a date ,but once the initial conceptualisation happens ,things would fall into place from there on.I think ,the biggest attribute necessary to run a successful business is perseverance.If you have conviction in a business idea ,then no matter what people or history say/s ,you should chase your dream and with some luck you will be winning them over along the way.Wish you unprecedented success in your business venture!

Anything entrepreneurial, easier said than done and it must engage my mind. You sound a lot more practical but be wary of losing money. Self- employed is generally hard physical labour with no-one to share the burden. You already have a foundation on which to start, be guided by your mother, she is the one with the experience.

Congratualtions on opening your new business. I would like to have my business some day but I am not sure what area and when. I would have to be feeling alot better than I am now. I think about it all the time but one of these days I will figure it out. Good luck with the start of your business.

Create a plan and get started with whatever you can. I am sure your family will do well because you have done well before and know how to make that business work. It does take a strong mental attitude backed by determination. By holding your dream business in your mind, you can create a strong and positive emotional feeling which can carry you to success. All it takes is a great idea and putting it into motion.

well great to hear that u have started ur busines once again, and hope it goes very successfully, i am soo interested in starting a printing business, hopefully i ll start one day, but rite now i am involved in the family business

Dear maribel, please allow me to share your happiness on your recent opening of your family business:)I always been admire to those who have their own family business waiting them to further explore cause I don't really have that kind of opportunies myself. I start my own small business in year 2000 and it was my first real life business lesson in life. The business start with acceptable good results but unfortunately had closed up for only a short 1 year due to the partnerships issues. I was than in partnerships businesses for another 3 times and it all were went not smooth and again were closed up. The latest business I have had now was no more in partnerships in which am 100% owner of my business. I do so as those previous experiences let me learn that partnerships were always very complicated and unpredictables.I am now in a business of Bird Nest/Swallow nest(Not sure did you heard about that?:) supply to oversea markets and was now in considerations to touch on oils supply business:)Anyway I do agreed with you that physically, mentally and emotionally prepared were some of the very important factors for one to start a serious business and beside that I think suffiecient knowledges, timing and lucks were another few things that play equal important roles in order to deside any successful business that concern.

First of all I want to say congratulations and how wonderful it is for your family to be so successful. My dream business is my writing, and I am trying my hardest to get that to a point that I will make big money from it.

any time is a grat time to start a business.an i would encourage anyone to do so if it is their dream.i would like to start a real estate business.an i am working on doing that.i have already bought a few houses in the past an i just bought one last week to flip.its nice to hear that you have started your own business an i think you have a good choice of product to sell.goat cheese an milk are a highly rated product an highly in deman.i wish you the best for you an your mom.you have fullfilled your dream..thats great.

Oh that is wonderful tht you have started your own business stall, and that is lovely that it is to do with goat meat as we buy goat meat it is lovely for when we make curry. It is great when we go into some kind of business that our parents were already involved in as we know more about how to run our business. I often think about starting my own business and that would be to sell items at our local market that we would not charge as much as people are paying today.

I wish you and your mother good fortune with your venture. I had what we call a 'mixed business' back in Australia when I was in my thirties, and it was very successful. I don't know how you make time for everything maribel, with your family, studies, and now the business. You're a remarkable ledy.

to start a business thats good hopefully it would prosper good for you right now still waiting for the right time to open up a new business im into business for the past six years but things are not that great for me right now the rent is eating me up planning to enter the food business also sort of have a background since my inlaws have a chinese restaurant running for at least twenty years now hopefully ill do good

Well, we sort of started out today. My sister and I went to Divisoria and bought a couple of things for reselling. Mostly clothes, some accessories, shoes and bags. We've been planning on doing this for a while now. This kind of business is a big hit here in Quezon Province. You might know somebody from here, please PM me if you do.

i am dreaming of putting up various blogsites that would earn at least $100 a month and an ebay store and affiliate marketing. i will try online biz since i was not so successful in the real world, i might as well do it here.

first of all congratulation for starting your business,ya my dream is to open my own restaurant, one which have some special non-veg dishes in our menu and our menu is not a fixed menu it keep changing every week and only those dishes are remained fixed which have high demand everyday,i don't know when it comes to happen becoz it need lots of investment and right now i have no money to start,but well i think i can start it some day.

This is a nice topic coz also im interested in starting my own business at the age of 23, april 21 is my bday, well as i observe student here in the philippines are only studying to be an employee only a few are studying to create jobs coz what people dont know is scaring them. Well i know you will succeed coz of your love for that business, the time to know if your ready for me is financially and emotinally and mentally, for a beginner like me business is not easy but as i gain more experience well it will be just a normal routine, choose a business that you love and have your interest

Chinese may follow certain dates based on feng shui. Even in the horoscopes, there are lucky days for us. And maybe starting a business on those particular dates maybe good(?) Anyway, for business, there's lots of research prior to it, before it can be launched proper.
