On the (Australian) news a couple of weeks ago, there was a story on a group wanting to put flouoride in bottled water. This is because children are drinking more soft drinks, which are fizzy and acidic, which is stripping the enamel away, causing tooth decay. Personally, I limit my intake of fizzy drinks and try to drinkmore milk and water. If I do eat something high in sugar, I drink water straight away afterwards until i can brush my teeth. I also floss every night. Although I do have cousins who are absolute coke fiends and are always drinking coke and eating junk food, yet they have beautiful teeth! It's not fair! So how much effort do you put into caring for your teeth?

I drink only bottled water and asked my dentist about this and he informed me that all of the flouride I needed was in the toothpaste I was using. My dad treated water for 25 years and has informed me that for the last several years he did not add extra into the water - that it just wasn't necessary. I dont think that flouride should be added into bottled water. I brush my teeth daily, and use mouthwash. I dont drink a lot of soda. I don't drink coffee at all.. thats really what I do to keep my teeth healthy.

Well firstly these days avoid soft, fizzy drinks as they only taste good, but is not good for one' health and adds caloires and provides zero nutirtion. Beides as you mentioned in it not good for my teeth so i avoid drinking them. Then i also avoid drinking tea or coffee for the same purpose. Besides i dont' eat or drink anything that is too cold or too hot. I brush my teeth daily twice in morning and at night so my teeth are clean and dont't have any food particles stuck which if not removed may cause bad breath and germs and lead to tooth decay. So i brush the teeth and also use mouthwash for this purpose. I also feel one should look after gums for stronger teeth by massaging them using tooth powder and chewing neam stick.

I just had my dentist appointment today and it went very well so I must be doing something right. I usually brush my teeth at least twice a day, floss my teeth, use stimudent as well as use listerine twice a day. I use Crest Pro Health for my toothpaste as it provides protection from all tooth conditions that you could get if you neglect your teeth and gums.

I have no insurance, as it is way too expensive to own privately at my age. And, most doctors require the fee paid, even before you go into see them. Dentists are no better. None of them will arrange a payment plan. So, if you do not have money, then go suffer. I used to have health insurance but since I have not been working I couldn't afford to keep it, and I was put off having when my Mother who has sinced passed away was taken to a hospital and she had health insurance was put into the old horrible part of the hospital with so many beds in it you couldn't move.
