A friend of mine started a discussion earlier about some of the silliest things they did when they were younger and it started me thinking! The first real memory I have is when I was 3 or 4 - I was sitting on a beach with a stookie (plaster cast) on my ankle and lower leg but the memorable bit was I had a really heavy duty polythenr bag tied over my leg so that I could still play in the sand and paddle in the water! What was your first memory and how old were you?

My first memory was when I was four years old, my mum had spent all day making me a birthday cake, I loved chocolate buttons, so she made me this lovely cake and decorated the top of the cake by using chocolate buttons arranging them into the shape of a number four! She put it on the table with lots of other goodies, as she had a party for me, with my little friends from the nursery. She went out in the kitchen and when she returned was horrified to find me with all chocolate around my lips and all the buttons on the cake had been taken off, and were smeared on my hands and mouth! She was not best pleased!

The first memory that I can remember is when I was around 3-4 and I was very sick with bronchitis and my mother had to leave me at home while she ran up the road to the nearest phone booth to call the doctor and the next minute the doctor was in my home and he saved my life and then my mother came home from the phone booth, the doctor always had the home key to the home seeing I was so terribly ill and they thought that I may not live this was my adopted mother.
