Are you shy ? In which occasions are you shy?

I am shy when I am starting a new class or job for the first time, especially. I am also shy when I have to meet someone important and I want to make a good impression (ex: my boyfriend's parents or supervisor) I get really nervous.

I have been backward and shy all of my life since I was a little girl and can remember. I can talk to someone on the phone or write them a letter, but when it comes to talking or meeting someone face to face, I get a nervous wreck. I have always been put down and judged all of my life is the reason why I think. It has carried over in my adult years alos because even adults have used me and acted like they were my friend and they wasn't. I am shy to meet new people because I think they just act like they like me and I also think they force themselves just to talk to me or look at me too.

basicaly i not a shy persons over all but when it comes to girls specially beautiful ones then i feel very much uncomfortable, i have many friends and people asking me to join there parties but i dont like to go as i am not comfortable talking to girls. as i am very crazy person and wild sometimes i afraid that girls may not like as they are very delicate things to handle i feel not to meet them , and they feel i am shy and yes if thing that is shyness only then i admit i am shy . when its about girls.......otherwise who cares.........cheers

I'm not really a shy type person. I easily get along with people and have something to chit chat about. However, sometimes, I get to become shy when I'm in front of people who are very very rich especially if it's a party. I don't really talk that much because I'm shy. lol. Seriously, I do really have a hard time mingling with the rich ones. I only belong to a middle class and of course I'm used to normal conversations and when you are with rcih people, it seems you have to act and say things formally. Usually, during first meetings with rich ones, I keep quite but when they try to talk to me and I feel comfortable, that's when I begin to converse with them as much as I can. :)

I do consider myself to be shy around people I do not know. I use to be extremely shy until I met my husband who is very outgoing. He has changed me for the better. I use to drink and when I would get drunk I would not be shy at all.

Basically I am an outgoing type of person. I get really shy during formal social gatherings, though. Maybe the thought of being serious and the thought of being tactless makes me limit my words. I am also shy whenever I'm around famous people...
