Do you judge people by appearances?

Do you ever judge anyone by the way they look ? I try not to coz we all know looks can be deceiving but I still, at times, do tend to judge by appearance. I think it just comes naturally – you just automatically tend to make a sort of image in your mind about anyone you see.. does it happen to you ?

I get a first impression however am open to the truth. Apprearances can be deceiving and it is interesting to find out the story of the person I meet. It truly matters really what is inside a person not what they really look like. I also go on what energy a person gives off with that appearance. Funny how it doesn't match at times.

I try to never judge people just by their appearance either. I have been judged all of my life and I sure know what it feels like. It is not a good feeling at all. I do, however, think alot of people can do something withtheir appearance but they choose not to. I mean that alot of people won't even brush their hair or their teeth. They look like they don't even take a bath. Some of them dress in dirty clothes and they make it seem like they don't care if people look at them and judge them any at all. I don't judge those who cannot take care or help themselves though.

We all have that first instinct to do so, but luckily can be rational, and go beyond that first instinct to appreciate the differences we see, and the circumstances that might be causing them, or even just the quirkiness of people. Aren't unique people a real treasure?

I dont judge ppl by how they look for two key reasons..#1 looks can be very deceiving and #2 I know that when ppl judge me by how I look its very frustrating...Then of course there are those ppl who dress a certain way AND act the same way, then I'll admit I do pass judgement but if, for example, you are dressed like a sl*t, act like a sl*t and talk like a sl*t in my books..you ARE a sl*t LOL

I think we cannot avoid judging people by their appearances. Its the first impression we got, the look. Well maybe not judging. We just classify by their appearance without saying whos better.

The old line about judging a book by its cover comes to mind. A perfect example would be my best friend who is an absolutely lovely guy but he dresses like a hippie/tramp. He always looks a mess and if people judged him on his appearance then more fool them - the guy is almost a millionaire *grin* and makes more money in a year than I hve ever done in a lifetime. So the image isn't always the reality. lol

I normally don't the only time I get weary is if I find they look strange like as if something is planned in their Head. If I meet someone and I get warning Vibes I will never ignore them as normally they are right. But I normally go by Personally and how the Person comes Across

I try not to too but sometimes I cant help it. If I see someone dirty with dirty looking clothes I tend to stay away from them. Because they stink.LOL

I think first impressions play a very important role when meeting people. I'm jiudgemental only then, when I meet somebody for the first time. I quickly assess their dress sense, mannerisms and one of voice. I don't judge character by appearances but looks do matter to a certain extent.I know we shouldn't be judgemental but if they aren't my type then chances of continuing relations in future are very less. If they can't impress me the first time then most probably there will not be another time ;o)

On very rare occassions i do but I try my best not to. I hate that when people do that to me. You can't really know a person on their looks. You have to get to know a person by taking time to talk to them to learn what they're about.

Actually I don't look at one and judge them on instint, however, I wonder what they are like if I happen to have to have a conversation with them...Most the time I don't even bother judging because, I've learned just through my own experiences you can't judge one of appearence, it could be totally opposite of what you have in mind...

Like you, I try not too but when it comes down to it. I think I do it unknowingly. Think about it: Are you more likely to open the door for a dirty smelly man with holes in his clothes and in need of a shave and bath or a clean, neat, well dressed man in a suit.

I do judge people by appearances. I know it isn't a good thing to do, but I can't help myself doing it. I think it is part of our inbuilt mechanism for working out if people are friends or enemies.

I think to a certain extent we all do. In my old job, I had to interview people all the time, and I admit that if they were clean, smartly dressed, clean-shaven or whatever, I immediately thought they had made more of an effort, and therefore were prhaps mre serious than others who looked like they had just rolled out of bed! It may not be right, but I think it is a thing that most people do.

no,of course not.i think it is not fair to judging only by they look.because, some people maybe had a bad appearances but they have a good heart and attitude.
