disciplining your dog not to nibble your hands

we have a one year old dog that nibbles away your hand or arm everytime we remove his leash? This dog is active and likes to playball which he shares with us. The dog does not reply to disciplining and does not follow our instructions to stop the nibbling activity. Is there a way of controling him (the dog, I mean)
