I think participating in a forum like this one is a goo idea ... the more you are exposed to the language the better it is ... watch movies in english, read english books ... If you really need to work on your basis, try to find some lessons - online or offline - ... when a personal tutor could help you better and faster, it will cost you a little investment ... but if you can't invest, try some free lessons online ... it is harder since you are on your own but some resources are free here is a free site to learn languages : www.byki.com good luck to you ... and if you work HARD I AM SURE YOU WILL SUCCEED

YOu are here, that is a step in the right direction. Read posts, write new posts, that will be a practice that will help you to learn more words and expressions. Don't worry, you will learn fast :)

Seriously, read lots and lots of newspapers. I started picking up English and listening to English songs since the age of 10. Reading storybooks and magazines helps too, because you can learn a variety of writing skills and acquire the skill of expressing yourself in a presentable manner. But I'd still stick with the suggestion of reading English newspapers. Not only can you improve your English, you'll learn new stuff and know what's happening in the world. Wathc lots of English television programs. English movies are quite enjoyable. In short, do everything in English. Yet, most importantly, you'll have to LOVE it.
