Has anybody seen any good Asian films lately? Anything from Thai, Japanese, Korean (etc). It would have to be subtitled in English so I could watch it though. :/ I love Asian horror films, but I'm down for any genre. Any suggestions would be great. I love movies like "The Returner" and Battle Royal." (see, not just horror hehe)

I'll watch anything by Takeshi Kitano. I also like Takeshi Miike, and Chan-Wook Park. Park's films are beautiful, but they're close to the edge on the amount of violence I'm willing to watch. Returner was very enjoyable. You don't consider Battle Royale horror? I do, but I guess most people would call it an action film.

I think Battle Royale had a lot of violence which could be interpreted as horror, but I considered it more as a action/ drama. I can see where you're coming from on the horror label though. :)

two film that i can think off right now is bang rajan and bangkok dangerous. both are thai movies. bang rajan is a story about a group of villagers who stand up and fight an invading army. it is based on a true story but since i'm not from thailand, i'm not really sure is it true. bangkok dangerous is about a deaf killer for hire. great storyline and nice effect. is battle royal is a movie where a class of students sent to an island and kill each other? i've heard good review about the movie but have not seen it.

Yep. That's Battle Royal. It's a book as well. My friend said the book was really good, but hasn't seen the movie. I've only seen the movie, and haven't read the book....what I can tell you is the movie is good. You should take a look when you get a chance. :)
