This site is bull. There is no point to any of it and you have to make it your full time job to make any money. Sorry, I have a job that requires me to leave the house for 8 hours. AND, I do get a full night's sleep. This is the stupidest thing I've ever tried to do!

You can't expect a penny to 3 cents a post to build the same paycheck that 40 hours a week does. The point is to converse with people, share opinions, and make money while doing it. Personally, I'm doing it to earn some extra income for a rainy day. It may take me years to earn anything substantial, but since it's something I'm doing anyway.. why not?

I agree, this site is stupid. So are all the borderline illiterate dweebs who live here posting insipid comments to make 5 cents. Get a life people. Get a life. Wal*Mart needs greeters you know.

I know it isn't much money, but I still do it. It may not solve all my problems, but it helps pay some bills. I know a lot of people don't have the time to spend on MyLot. I work from home, so I can do this inbetween my real job and make decent money. May not make me rich, but as long as it pays the cable modem bill monthly I'm happy.

Now that would be nice. *lol* Pay our cable bill with the internet! (Personally, I'm hoping to get enough to score a few pieces of maternity clothing from Old Navy. *drools*)

So the point of it's to make money? I was'nt aware of that! I went into it, signed up for it thinking it was, but realized that it is'nt, really. If you don't like the site, though... why are you here? Because you don't have to post. Not to be rude, but still. *shrug*

Making money on such sites will not help you make rich, it's very first goal is to help others who want to earn an extra income. As far as I know, no one has gone more richer in joining such sites as this, mylot. If you have a good job, better concentrate on that one and quit joining on sites like these.

What were you expecting? To rank with Bill Gates after 7 posts to discussions at mylot?

The point isn't making money, the point is chatting with others. The money is just a little benefit. No one expects to make hundreds of dollars here.

I completely disagree with you because myspace gives people an opportunity of meeting others with your same interest and it is also a way of finding old friends. I recently created my account and i am surprised of what this site can do. Just to say that my first boyfriend sent me a message the other day and i havent heard or seen him in years.

Well...if you're only here for the money you'd have to work VERY hard at it to make a living. If you're here for the chatting and the friends then...it's not bullsh*t the money is an extra benefit.

As everyone has previously said, you can't honestly expect to make much money from mylot. I joined through a referral link, and while I will admit that the first time I signed in I was thinking about the money, I quickly realized that myLot has very little to do with the money, and everything to do with the quality discussions. So far I have made about $1.26 here, barely enough for a cup of coffee, but that's not what really matters. Because of mylot I have met some really interesting people, and I was referred to a site where I can sell all of the jewelry I make in my spare time. And if it helps you any, I also have a job, two actually, and I work about 25-30 hours per week, as well as being a full-time college student spending 17 or more hours in a classroom each week, as well as doing homework and studying. I also maintain a blog, make and sell jewelry, and spend time with my friends. You can't expect mylot to be a full-time job that will pay you the same as a regular old 9-5. That's not what it's for.

Definitely, if you're looking for big money, this site is NOT the place to go. But, if you're looking for a place that gives you the opportunity to speak your mind and challenge others to do the same, AND pick up a few dollars here and there, then this be da place! I like it - I have an outlet for my frustrations, a way to see how other people perceive issues, a way to get to know people around the world. Yes, it took me three months to reach payout, but I see that as a bonus, not as a main source of income. It's gas money at this point and don't we all need more of that right now? So, if you're only here for the money, then it's probably not the place to be. But, if you like communicating with others, expressing your opinion, seeing what others think about topics that interest you, then consider returning. The money is secondary to all of that.
