Speed dating

Has anyone ever tried speed dating? Was it more or less painful than having dental work without freezing? Did you actually meet someone this way that you dated more than once?

Of course I have never tried it. It didn't exist back in my single days. I must say, though, that I would probably give it a try if the opportunity arose... and I was single. Spending five minutes each with ten different guys sounds more appealing than spending hours with a guy who is boring or just not for you.

One of my girlfriends and I are going to one in Burlington at the end of the month... just for the heck of it, but also because the venue (Philthy McNastys) is giving away a "chance" at winning $10,000. Will let you know how we do. (Was gonna say "make out" but I didn't want anybody getting the wrong idea...)

Well, personally i find speed dating stupid and desperate. I think you are better off getting to know someone worthwhile through chatting online or texting. Just my 2 cents...

I have never tried it and I doubt that I ever will.
It takes me quite a while to work up my nerve to even talk to a woman..
Before I got out a word, she would be gone and I would have to start all over..
Yikes!!
