nowadays, cell phone is one of the basic needs in the world. Everybody uses this almost everyday in their life. but is it a big deal if you are carrying old/new units? Do we have to change our cellphones when latest unit comes? how does it affect you?

No i'ts not a big deal whether or not you're carrying an old or a new unit. As long as it's functional you don't have to buy a new unit. It depends upon a person if he or she wants to buy the latest cellphone unit when one comes out. But it's so impractical especially nowadays that a new cellphone unit is being introduced almost every 2 weeks.

no we dont necessarily have to change our phone once a new one gets unveiled. i like to change mine every 6 months as i love all the features of upcoming phones. i suppose i would say i am a mobile phone addict as i love new technology its great

There is no need to constantly upgrade your mobile phone, but the extra features offered on the latest models often make upgrading worthwhile. I have recently upgraded from a Sony Ericsson K750i, which is an excellent mobile and more than adequate for my needs. However, my new model is the Sony Ericsson W850i and has a 1 Gb storage card, which allows me to carry and play a vast amount of audio files.

for me, i think it's not a big deal what's the model or unit your carrying as long as your friends and your family can contact you... my phone is 3310 and it's 3 years old already... and i never want to change it... some of the days it came across my mind to change my phone... but i'm a pratically person... i dont want to waste money on such non sense... anyway my phone is still working... may if my phone does not work anymore, maybe that's the time i'm going to buy a new phone... :D

I have owned a Nokia 3310, a Nokia 8210, a Sony EriccsonT6ti, a Nokia N70 and now a Nokia 3230... For me,it doesn't matter what kind of cellphone I use though if the purpose is merely to communicate via text message or through calls. But at present, because I don't have a digicam or a videocam, I find the units with built in accessories like the ones mentioned useful to record memorable events since my husband is working in Brunei and he misses out on most of the kids important events. I simply have them uploaded to you tube or to flickr for him to browse wherever he is and whenever he can.
