It says in the bible, which some say is the direct word of the one and only God, that: "Though shalt not kill!" But there's a lot of killing going on and the people doing it, the people ordering it aren't in prison, aren't being told by the bishops, cardinals or even the Pope that they are in violation of God's direct order and that they should, gosh darnet, knock it off and repent and change their evel ways. So, is it okay to kill ever? when is it okay with God that we go around killing people_?

I have a bumper sticker on my car that reads: "Why do we kill people who kill people to show people that killing people is wrong?" Personal opinion? It's NOT OK to kill. I'm not a religious scholar, however... but it strikes me that people go out (for example) and kill and start wars "in the name of God," it's a MAN MADE thing, not a GOD MADE thing. No matter whether or not the Bible is "the direct word of God," the word of the Good Book is subject to interpretation by HUMAN BEINGS... religious people try to kill each other and BOTH sides can point to passages of scripture in support of their wiews. I don't think it's OK with God to kill people. Period. Case closed. HUMANS find ways to make it OK, when it suits their personal needs and insecurities. Of course, that's just my OPINION.
