Do any of you over spend?

OMG, I am a stay at home mom and I am also a full time student and I make money from finincal aid and grants, so I have extra money every 6 months or so. I get about $1,400 every 6 months from my grant. The smart thing for me to do is start paying my loan back, but what do I do? I go shopping crazy! I love to spend money, when I have it that is. Every time I say I am going to save it and it just goes by so fast. I spend money on cloths, shoes, food, my kids(mostly) and I usually go through it in like 2 weeks. I just can't seem to keep or save money. Does any one else have this problem or can give me some tips on how not to spend so much? It really is a problem. Thank you.

I overspend pretty much every time I spend any money at all. I buy much more than I need and much more than I mean to every time I go shopping. Even with food I end up with five times as many impulse items as items that I meant to get.

GOSH, I know the feeling. I just spent $50 in the dollar store. How do you do that?

I'm not in school anymore, but when I was, I did the same thing! I don't know why - it's almost a stress reliever for me. I have the money and I know I have it, so what do I do? Go shopping. I don't know why for sure - but I blame my husband LOL! His attitude is "you only live once" and I've adopted that attitude as well. We have always made it and I truly believe we always will make it through anything, but we are bad with spending sometimes. You're not alone! One thing I started doing though when it got really bad is to actually ALLOW myself to do this at times. Then I don't feel guilty about it. When we get our tax refund back I put so much away in an envelope for me and so much for my husband. The rest goes towards bills and such. This has seemed to work for me for the past few years, so I thought I would suggest it.
