I just sold an article on Constant Content!

I didn´t think I would ever actually sell an article there, but I logged in just now and there it was, sold! It was a silly article, too, on how to make a gift basket for your dog, but someone paid $15 for it! Although I only get $9.75, which seems awfully low. Still, I am just happy it worked!

Constant Content is a website where you can post articles, reviews, etc. People who need content look on the site and if they see something they like, they purchase one of three rights, usage, unique or exclusive. You put your own price on your articles and the site takes a commission. I´m not sure exactly how much but anyway, you earn, so it´s cool. :) If you want to sign up here is the link (I´d appreciate it if you use my referral): http://www.contant-content.com/?aref=9303

I'm not internet savvy!!!Anyway, I got interested when I heard about your sale! Wow! Do they accept literary articles? Please let me know. thanks!

Thats wonderful news, well done and welcome to teh world of being a published author! I havent heard of that particular site but I will check it out, I use Triond for my short articles and that steadily brings me in a few dollars a month by paypal which is always welcome. I'll have a look at your site too and see if it applies to a writer in the UK (many only seem to work for US based people unfortunatley)

Yes you can join if you're in the UK. I live in England and have sold lots of work on this site. Some articles are on there for ages before they sell, but others have sold within minutes! It's a great place to sell your work, but get yourself familiarised with the site properly as you start to write for them. You'll sell more. Good luck!

I am in Guatemala and they accepted me, so I should think they would take a UK based writer. :)

It depends on where you go. I have now sold two articles on Constant Content, but I haven´t really been trying too hard. If you look for keyword article jobs, it is really easy to find them, although they don´t pay much. Submitting to content sites like Associated Content and Constant Content is time consuming and I wouldn´t call it that easy since you have to wait quite some time. But check out writing job boards like http://www.online-writing-jobs.com for some good places to submit work. Also, if you are interested in writing keyword articles, email joshmachine_000@hotmail.com. He is looking for someone to do short articles right now.

I just went to the link you provided and couldn't find anything about writing articles. Then I realized that you left a letter out of "constant" on your link. I rewrote it and it took me to the right website. Please check your link for spelling and you will find it. Anyway thanks for the link. I am going to check it out now. Congratulations on selling your article so quickly.

Congratulations. I am so glad to hear about that. I recently joined and have been trying to think about what type of articles to submit and how much I should charge for them, but of course I tend to procrastinate. Hearing that someone actaully got paid really helps to get me inspired to start writing. I know that they take a percentage of the sale price so i will keep that in mind when deciding how much to ask for my articles. How long was your article up there before it was purchased. I heard that sometimes it takes a while for your articles to sell, but that it is worth it.

This article was only up for a couple of days! I was really surprised that it sold so fast. Well, that it sold at all, it was such a ridiculous topic! Try looking under the Requested Content tab before writing, it gives you a good idea of what people are looking for. The ones at the bottom are the most recent requests.

Your best bet is to check out what people are already selling. Just look at the Recently Sold Content area or the Requested Content, to get ideas. Keep your articles short and formatted for internet, 400-500 words, single spaced, extra space between paragraphs. Make sure you have an introductory paragraph and a closing one, or they won´t accept it. If you want to sell exclusive, make sure you put that price in. Some buyers are looking more for exclusive articles than single use and are willing to pay more. Also, in order to earn, you need to submit lots and lots of articles! :) Hope this helps and good luck with your writing.

Congrats! I put one article up there a couple of months ago and it hasn't sold, so didn't post anymore, guess I got discouraged. But I"ll take your advice and look at what clients are looking for, and then write something similar. The CC site says that the writer gets 65% of the purchase price, CC gets 35%.

That's great news! It's also good to hear that people do buy articles (not just special request material). I signed up awhile back with Constant Content, but haven't written anything for them. Sound familiar, anyone? I just need to get back into the swing of writing again. Once I stop, even for a little while, it's hard for me to get my engines started again. Good luck with your writing!

$9.75 LOL. Congrats on the accomplishment of selling an article. Does ConstantContent take creative writing ie. short stories? Or is it limited to how-to? I've not heard much about it and would enjoy learning more. I think I'll peruse over now.

This is great. You get to write articles and someone else buys them. Are the buyers from the website or other members of constant-content.com? I would love to sell articles but have not tried out yet.

The buyers are usually webmasters or ezine editors who are looking for new content. Some of them request special articles and you can offer them your relevant articles.

Wow, that's good news! I'll have to check them out since they seem to pay more than associated content. I just sold 2 short articles to AC for $5.44 each :( How long does it take for CC to review your work once you submit it?

Right now they are short on editors so it takes between 1 and 5 days for them to approve an article.

Congrats on selling your article. I envy you for knowing what it feels like to make money off your writing. Yes, I am still trying. I am going to sign up, and prob sell myself short at first on the pricing, but I'll look around first. Anybody know of any other sites like this?

If you are in the US, you can also try Associated Content and www.WriteForCash.com (although they might not be accepting writers at the moment).

Hey thats actually awesome! Now what you have to remember is just duplication. Duplicate, duplicate! You are well on your way if you remember that valuable point. Again congrats! I get alot of joy seeing people succeed in their online endeavors.

Congratulations GuateMom! Not a lot of money but as people begin to notice your content and "portfolio" they will seek out articles from you for the future....or at least, that is the "plan". Does anyone write for helium.com? Or DayTipper? I submitted 15 tips in about 20 minutes and 10 were accepted at $3 each. Not bad for 20 minutes but I don't care much for the rating system at Helium. Other "writers" rate your article and I think the pay is based on that. Helium does have contests though and first place is $300 at the moment. Also Associated Content has contests and pays better than Helium. Keep writing GuateMom! :)

That's just great. I joined Associated Content a while back because they also pay for articles, but I have yet to submit one. I've been so busy with my own blogs that I just don't have time, but I do know some people make a nice amount of money writing about things they love to do. Good luck with your writing career.
