What are some great weight losing tips? Help me out.

I need to lose 70 pounds by August. I need some help. What foods/drinks should I stop eating or drinking? What kind of exercises should I do? Stop eating rice and drink lots of milk?

The best and healthiest way I have found to lose weight is to do these steps: 1. Weigh yourself. Count all the calories you eat one day. Make sure you write down ALL of them. 2. The next day try to eat 1500 less calories. (1500 calories=1 lb of fat in your body) 3. Eat this amount of calories for the next 6 days and weigh yourself. You should have lost about 1 pound doing this. If you didn't or you want to lose more a week... 4. Cut out 500-1000 more calories (do not go below 1200 calories/day though) for the next week. 5. Weigh yourself. You should have lost 1-2 pounds. 6. Continue to eat this amount and you should consistantly lose 1-2 lbs a week. Obviously, you should also try to eat healthier foods and get exercise. This is just from my experience. I have never lost a large amount of weight (like 70 lbs) but this has helped me lose weight. The best thing I've found for losing weight is to eat more high protein low fat foods and limit grains and sugars. I wouldn't recommend totally eliminating rice, just try to use whole grains. If you add legumes with a whole grain it makes a low fat protein. Legumes are beans, basically. So rice and beans are good for you, filling, and I like the taste. You don't want too much dairy. Limit the servings and use low-fat dairy products. Calcium is really important, so don't avoid it completely. I guess the secret to losing weight is a balanced, healthy diet with increased physical activity to burn off the calories. Walking, bicycling, running, swimming are all excellent and you don't have to join a gym to do them!

That is a lot of weight to loose by August but can be done. I go to curves for excercise and they have an awesome diet to follow. I lost 20 pounds doing it. You have to eat lots of fruits, veggies and chicken or fish if you are really serious. It really depends on how much effort you put into it. Drink lots of water and don't eat pasta, potatoes, white rice. Lots of do and don't and I would get sugar free treats to eat once in awhile to just take care of my craving for sweets. I go to curves as much as I can and I am really starting to tone good. Takes alot of work that is for sure and will power.

By August, wow thats not long. You need to eat lots of fruit and veg. Lean meat, fish, drink lots of water because it helps with you metabalism. Also do lots of excersise. If you don't like excersise try and walk for at least 30 minutes every day that will help a lot.
