I believe in God, and the bible, I am non-denominational, looking around for the true religion...I have come across a website on the Jewish faith, the website was given to my by one of the freat people on mylot. http://www.aish.com/spirituality/philosophy/Why_Dont_Jews_Believe_In_Jesus$.asp It says that there are many translations that are wrong in the bible, Do you think we will be condemed if this is true? If we have no other way of knowing what it says? What it says? What if there is translation errors? Could they be that significant?

We will not be condemned if that is true. We are saved by faith, not by the words we read. If God isn't smart enough to know that men will twist and turn His words, then I don't want to follow Him. He is the one who saves; trust Him. He knows how to save you.

I agree with the past two comments. The Bible is the infailable, living word of God and salvation only comes through Jesus Christ. Don't get caught up in legalism my friend, please. I did that to myself for so long, trying to figure out what is "right" and "wrong". The only thing that is right is believing in Christ and the only thing that is wrong is not believnig in Him. Simple. Don't stress yourself out about translations and such. Yes there are those translations out there that may not be exactly related to the origional Greek and Hebrew transcripts, and if you want to figure all that out, be my guest. Im a religion major in college and honestly, I have come to learn that ALL Bibles, regardless of the translation or paraphrasing, are pointing to the truth - JESUS CHRIST. That is the most important thing. Religion has NOTHING to do with salvation...nothing whatsoever. God knows our hearts and if our hearts, minds, bodies and souls follow hard after Him and we are living for His will, then if we are, in some way, reading the "wrong" Bible, God will also know that is not our faults. Just get involved with a good, solid, established Bible believing church and get involved in some solid fellowship and I am sure that will set you straight :) I recommend checking out http://www.calvarychapel.com - I attend a calvary chapel here in NJ and it is great :) Ill be praying for you! God bless!

i am not really sure about the translation of the bible. We do have free will though so i guess it can be interepreted any way that we like.

I know, but it bothers me that it is so vague. I really am trying to figure out all of this religion stuff, but it seems so hard to find the truth.
