For a long time I've been told that I need to drink more water.I drink at least 4 - 5 cans of pop a day.My point is that I believe as long as your drinking fluids then your kidneys will be fine.I would love to hear what everyone else thinks.

A good portion of our bodies are made up of water. Pop has chemical and preservatives in it that do not do the same job water does. Water has no calories and is a natural product. Drinking that much pop every day is not healthy at all. I assure you if you replaced those cans of pop with bottles of water, you will not only feel a lot better, you will lose weight. Yes, that one small change in your diet will help you lose weight. The point is, the pop is full of chemicals which can harm are bodies in ways we don't even know. Water is natural and a pure cleanser for the insides of our bodies. I have two cups of tea in the morning and then drink water all day long. If I have an upset stomach or feel a cold coming on (ie sore throat) then I will drink herbal tea, which goes through the body pretty quickly. I don't even drink milk anymore. Water is the best thing you can possibly drink.

Hi, I greatly appreciate your response and I'm not doubting the health benefits of water as I tell my kids to drink at least 3 full glasses of water a day because I don't want them to go down the same cycle as me.My problem with water is the no flavor part if I'm going to drink something I like to have flavor plus now after all the years of drinking pop the caffeine addiction plays a small part in it as well.I drink diet pop all the time so I've been able to lose weight as well and plus still yet haven't had any kidney problems from lack of water.Thank you for your response....
