Rembrandt

i named my cat rembrandt. he is a white cat with black spots. but his color look like paint spots. as if he used his tail to paint with. since rembrandt painted in dark colors, somehow we came up with the name rembrandt

I thought it was Rembrant 1600 or so, Dutch I think

His paintings hang in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and is well worth a visit if you could ever make it. The largest painting he created is there called 'De Nachtwacht' and it the most famous one hanging there. It is a magnificent painting one of the largest I have seen but its correct title is 'The Company of Frans Banning Cocq and Willem van Ruytenburch'.
