How to get referrals for various free websites?

There are a couple of free websites that i am a member of and have been trying to get referrals for them and havent been having much luck. I tried the traffic exchange websites and that doesnt seem to be getting me any traffic, One site that im trying to promote is Clixsense, and another one of my sites is not a money-maker. Its a game and i get prizes for reffering people and i just thought it might be fun for some people. But do you have any suggestions for me? And if you have free programs that you promote, send me a message with the urls and ill sign up.

I get a few referrals by puting the links on my blog. I've had, for example, over 70 referrals to myLot.
I'm into lots of money making programs, which are all on my blog http://mikesmoneymakingmission.blogspot.com.
I do a Weekly Report showing where I make money from.

There are two ways:
1 create a site which contains all your link with your payments proofs as I made http://webmoney.altervista.org
2 create or join a forum with the downline system. If you don't know what downline system you can send me a message.

I think your best bet would be to get referrals via myspace, or if you post at other web communities place the referral link in your sig area. I can;t give any times or anything, I am horrid when it comes to getting referrals.

i already have clixsense but i will do the game if you go to my website and sign up for any one of the free sign ups i have there are surveys, dating, astrology, all are with no creditcard required let me know add me as a friend and message me

Get referrals from mylot and other forums just by sending a personal mail to all your friends.This works.If you send message to 50,atleast 5 will sign up.
Next thing you can do is to blog by starting a blog.

Net working on the net, should be faster, however, there must be something we are not doing, when I joined this forum there were only 50000 members, now there are more than 80000 and I have not even referred any one. gee. Your referrals for Clixsense will NOT make you any money. The only way to make money from referrals there is if they upgrade and you get a part of the upgrading fee... check out my site at www.freewebs.com/money4thekids if you need more money making sites and tips on scam sites...

One of the new technique that I try using is to send the referral URL to all my friends of msn and yahoo so that they would respond to me. The reason behind it is that the mail which I send to them wont be called as a Spam or Junk mail coz I am already in there contact list. So try sending it to all of your MSN and Yahoo friends..

I just did a review on this program called project payday and it's exactly the type of program that you're talking about. I know getting referrals is hard but if you visit my site, it explains it a lot better.
