Holly has given you good advice. Expect (not except!) it to be very hard. Use a spell checker or proofreader before you turn in any written work. "What" is not spelled "wat." It will be the hardest and the best thing you ever do for yourself and your future family. By the way, you're starting "college" not "collage."

Lisa Hi College life is what you make it. You can have independance and have fun, but you also want to be responsable and get all you can get out of the time you have getting a degree. In my experience keeping good notes can be very important ( matter of fact for those that don't take or care if they have notes, will pay a pretty penny for your notes that you have taken). If you can get by without having a job, your better off, as you really can focus on studing and not get over whelmed and stressed out, plus forget any kind of social life. If you really need the money try to get a job that when you have free time you can study or do homework as long as your employer does not mind. Some colleges will hire students for office work etc. Just don't do as my boyfriend and go to college for four years and walk away without any degree not even a A.A.. Enjoy college and I hope you have great success in what ever you chose to do. Holly

college, like everything else in life, i guess, should be what you want it to be. these are the years where you have more freedoms, but make sure you don't abuse them because no one else will be left to pay the price except for yourself! it should be a fun time but with more responsibilities. college can be expensive, depending on alot of things...are you going to a college that's close to home? or are you staying in a dorm? or moving into your own apartment? what course are you taking? as for working while studying, that's certainly something you should decide on. some people would rather concentrate on just their studies and think that they might have a harder time if they are working at the same time. others wnat to work their way through, and still others don't even have a choice...either way, it boils down to effective time and budget management.

well, I don't believe college life is as everybody says it is-well, I mean about the so called lots of notes and the freedom and the overspending. I belive it's all you take it to be. From my point of view it is a point in life you got to decide for your self and do what you like-I'm speakin gall these from a freshers point of view and thus I may not have expirienced it all. Anyway-epect the best moments-that is if you are loaded chumewise coz from what I see- almost everything is about money. I don't mean t picture it as being all that expensive anyway. Nice time as you join college.

Expect to take lots of notes. You are in college now, so you can voice your opinions (with caution depends on Professor) and ask as many questions as you want. Research Professors opinions or if they say fact to make sure it is true. (Don't be a mind numb robot!) Don't be afraid to challenge. You are a adult, if you act like one expect to be treated as such. Remember you are paying for this education and deserve all you expect!
