That's a good question, Eskarena. Hell is an actual place in the pits of the earth made for the devil and his demons. It wasn't intended for man. But those that are lost souls, who didn't accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour will go there. It's a place burning with brimstone and fire and stinks of sulfur. And is very dark and you will still have your thoughts and memories. And you'll experience hunger, pain and thirst. And your body will be full of live worms that will chew through your bones. Oh you can't even began to imagine the pain. There's another book other than the Bible that you can read, Eskaren, that describes hell. It's titled Devine Revelation Of Hell authored by Mary Ann Baxter. Please read it real soon.

yum yum, cant wait. Where do such graphic ideas come from? There is a guy called Edward Thompson who in his book the making of the English working class, looks at the methodist sects views of hell, and they are all full of violent imargy, he relates it to repressed sexuality, see how much we let out about ourselves when we least expect it blessed be

ok. Who told you what my hell would be like? why do you think they would do it? You speak of blessed be as a glib line, it is from a belief structure far older that christianity. Also, while im at it, Mark Chapman was a psychopath, dont think many chritians would claim him as one of their own. But then A certain A.Hitler claimed to be a god fearing christian all his life blessed be

Leveral, you really must have been to this place called hell for you to describe it with such imagination, this is hell that were living in right now not one single person has come back to tell us what they seen there, i'm a catholic and was brought up to believe that hell was like the inside of a volcano red hot and burning, little horned people running around sticking forks in you. Heaven on the other hand is a beautiful place where you go if you've lived a good life and been a perfect person, i have yet to meet one person who has come back to tell me what hell or heaven is like, hell means different things to different people,i know one thing for sure i wont be seeng you in the fantasy place called hell because thats all it is fantasy THIS IS HELL this day and age is a hell for many people to get through for whatever reason they have wether it be illness poverty war or whatever so dont think about your fantasy place called your actually in it now tc BLESSED BE ( oh thats a wiccan blessing to keep you safe btw)

Oh, well some minutes ago by coincidence I answered it another post, about heaven. My thoughts about heaven and hell are basically the same: I believe they are not places, nor can they be described. I believe they are rather situations, like state of mind, or feelings, something like dreams but in an stable an intense form. So, I believe paradise would be something like a peaceful situation, with no needs, no worries, etc. As for the hell, I imagine it like a situation of continuous pressure and stress, the mind full of doubts and guilts, with no break and no possibilities to stop it. The most frightening thing I find in the concept of hell is the eternity of this situation, the though that it will never ever end. I would like to add that I 've read somewhere (don't even remember where) that the worse hell is to not be able to approach God

hahaha 333 you are half way there. The devil is a medieval construct, doesnt appear in early versions of the bible but is conviniently made up to personify what the peoples of the books refere to as evil (in reality, anything the peoples of the book disagree with) blessed be

Hell is where people will go if they are not saved by Jesus Christ. The world below earth, into a fiery lake of burning sulfur. Read Revelation 19:19-21.

hi, How do we know? Do we have any primary evidence? Im just a little concerned that we take all this on trust. Doesnt the bible say that Jesus Christ would come back? He clearly hasnt, couldnt the christian hell, as depicted in Revalation also be a lie?

I honestly think hell and the threat of it was a clever minds way to conning ppl into submission (WAAAAAY back in the day I'm talking of course)....I mean seriously what better way to fear ppl into following you then to threaten them with eternal damnation, eternal suffering, fire and brimestone etc etc etc? and its worked for centuries!

I used to think with the way things ar in life, that hell must truly be on earth and when we die, the only place left to go is to heaven if you have done right and lived for the lord. I still often feel this for myself. It just seems that alot of times, things that go wrong in our daily lives, is almost like living in hell when you cannot get any enjoyment from life on earth. It just seems, no matter how hard you try to make your life better, something always happen to make it a bad experience and it is almost a feeling of being burned every time. Not physically burned, but literally burned.

this makes a lot of sense to me, hell is here and now, only by redemption can you improve on things. Blessed be

well i believe that we are all currently living in hell.. this place is where we learn, and feel.. so we go through hard times and suffer much pain of all sorts.. i dont really think its a bad thing though since without this place how could we learn and evolve? but i believe after we die we all go to the spiritual plane where there is peace and love and understanding, and no more pain and suffering ect. of course it could also be said that the lost souls who get 'stuck' here after their passing would be in hell since they dont know how to move on to the peaceful plane ect, and well in my belief this is hell to begin with lol.

I think hell is a state, and arguably I could be excused for thinking life here is hell because at times it certainly feels like it! If there be a place beyond this life that is categorized as hell, then I would experience it in line with my own dark self, my tortured mind. I don't believe in the fire and brimstone scene. I expect it to be akin to depression states, very heavy and dark.
