When it will come the end of the human race?

To be honest, there are many things that could potentially prove disasterous to the human race. I recently saw a discovery channel special listing the 10 most dangerous possibilities that could lead to the destruction of the earth. I can't remember what they all were right now, but Asteroids were among that top ten. Currently, NASA is predicting that there are one or two "global killers" that could potentially strike within this century. It is a scary thought, and one that I try not to dwell on too terribly often. I am hopeful that we, as a species, have come far enough along that we might be able to find a way to prevent our own destruction (deflect the asteroid, blow it up, what-have-you), if it comes down to that. And, we are making further technological advances every day, which makes me more optomistic in this particular area.
