The snake....

I went walking this morning to spend some time with God. I love to pray and spend time with Him on beautiful days like this. As I continued on my path up the hill I stumbled upon a snake as he quickly sliders past me. It was a surprise so i let out a Yikes. Then I watched him on the side of the path with his head raised like waiting for someone to attack. This reminded me of Satan how he can quickly slide into our path and strik at us is a sly cunning way to where we don't know what has hit us. How he can easily blind our paths and draw us out of Gods will, without us even realizing it. That's why it is so impostant to stay in God presence continually. Praising Him in our hearts daily in all we do. Stay prayed up and stay studied up, so the devil can't sly his way into your lives and destroy you. Hope this was encouraging this morning, this experience was to me. Have a blessed day.

I too have stumbled upon snakes while walking, literally and figuratively. This is a most excellent concept, but very difficult to manage. I tend to stumble, get bitten and yet find my way back to His healing grace. Sometimes I am sick for quite awhile with that snakes bite, but I always see fit to pray my way back into health and His glory. Thank you for this lovely passage!

Did you apologise to the snake for frightening him? His head was raised to defend himself from attack as he knows all humans are killers. By your own religion, God made all creatures, including the snake, the fly, the mosquito, the ...

You have a wonderful way of seeing God in every day life. How true it is that we must stay in His presence, and even then to stay alert to that old snake slipping along the trail.

a wonderful experience, the snake is symbol for evil, but how do you feel about snakes as pets. Personally I don't like them.

Even when we are being what we consider vigilant, satan can sneak up on us. He always is looking for ways to blindside us. Sometimes he's caught me offguard by coming at me from an area I thought I had fixed a long, long time ago...I got complacent and in he snuck! LOL. Keeping in prayer often is good, and just listening to christian music all day, praying, thinking about God and thanking Him for everything has helped me tremendously to not get sidetracked. Thanks for the analogy.

Yes it is very encourging. thanksfor this post. Yeah I agree with you about the devil coming into your life and making things worser for you and well as me and others. I pray to God everyday and thank him for everything that he has done for me and will do in the future.
