Okay I am an alcoholic. I have been sober almost 16 years. 11 days till my 16th year. Yeee haaaaa. Anyhow I also love the TV cartoon "The Simpsons'". Home sang this song many a time and I just thought about it so I reckoned, "Why not here." LOL. So here is Homers musical scale. Enjoy. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!! DOE RE MI BEER, by Homer J. Simpson. DOUGH... the stuff...that buys me beer... RAY..... the guy that sells me beer... ME...... the guy... who drinks the beer, FAR..... the distance to my beer SO...... I think I'll have a beer... LA...... La la la la la la beer TEA..... no thanks, I'm drinking beer... That will bring us back to...(Looks into an empty beer mug) D'OH!

Grandpa Bob - Respect !!! Well done on 16 years sober - that can't have been easy! Love the song it is so funny! All men want to be Homer - no women want to be Marge - I wonder why? lol xxxx

Congratulations on your 16 year being the true you Bob...thats quite an accomplishment, and you have lots to be proud of and to celebrate..your family must be ecstatic that you have put such a nasty habit and disease behind you...No one truly knows the struggles, and its wonderful to celebrate such an occasion like this one... Really like the picture...lol...you look like my hippy uncle..hehe

I am sure your struggles are more than 16 years old...and I bet its a battle every single day you exist...but everyday that you dont give in, is a day you are stronger and better than before...its one thing to know the problem, and another to do something about it as you have done... congrats again..hippy bob..hehe

Congratulations on your wonderful success. It shows great strength of character to remain sober for so long. I don't watch the Simpsons, but my kids and my husband do.

Congrats Grandpa Bob!! It's nice to know you changed your life around. I bet you don't miss that life either. :-) As for the song lol I remember it quite well. Homer is hilarous on the Simpsons. Thanks for singing it.

Nice congratualtion men! This means alot to you and to your family. I think this is a great achivement. I hope you can put some details on how you have achive this since it can inspire others and let make them think twice about drinking. Anyway, i love that song by Homer Simpson! I love that cartoon show.

Thanks for the best response rating Grandpa Bob. It's my first, so that makes me feel like I 'could' be heading in the right direction with my myLot experience. I find there's a lot to learn re:this site, and it takes time to become familiar with everything here.
