How often do you brush your teeth?

I know, odd discussion. But I was cleaning out my backpack today( I carry a small backpack instead of a purse) and it dawned on me I am slightly obsessed with oral hygiene. I brush my teeth 3 times a day, use restoring mouthwash before bed, I have a toothbrush, trial size toothpaste, 3 types of breath mints, floss and listerine breath strips in my backpack. It drives me nuts if my breath isn't "minty fresh", even more so in the past week I haven't been smoking. Do you obsess over the cleanliness of your mouth? Tell me about it.

Yes I do. I am paranoid that I may even have a breath that is slightly bad. I have had to physically turn away from some poeple who breath goes beyond bad to foul.

Isn't that the worst? I worked with a guy once who had the most wretched breath, We'd offer him mints, which he never accepted and nobody could figure out how to tell him his breath was foul. He used to pick on me for my "mint addiction." It makes me cringe just thinking about his breath.

I brush my teeth at least twice a day maybe more. The first thing I do when I get out of bed is brush. I use the strips also for freshening during the day and after a smoke.

i am aso obsess over the cleanliness of my mouth because its one of the factor that make your partner turn-off and its very shameful to have a bad breathe even if your family notice it, its very shameful. i also brush my teeth three times a day and have a listerine also.

I like to brush mine twice a day otherwise my mouth feels all horrible. That way i feel i keep fresh mouth and breath. Its recommended that you brush your teeth twice a day so that plaque is removed reducing the likihood of of your teeth decaying and resulting in gum disease. The idea of rotting teeth is enough to make any cringe. The idea of false teeth is not pleasent, so I'd much rather take good care of them now and keep them for longer.

i brush my teeth two times a day... in the morning and at night... that's it... i think i don't really care about my mouth hygiene... that's the reason why i got so many problems with my teeth now and i have to spend lots of money to fix them up... i really regret it a lot for not taking care of my teeth properly since i am young... good on you for taking care of your teeth so well... keep it up...

Some people like to brush after every meal, but that would mean that I would be brushing all day. I brush in the morning after breakfast, and I brush in the evening before I go to bed. I floss at those times, too.

I brush daily if I have hols..Otherwise on an average only for 5 days in a week if I go to college..Its because most of us wakes up just before the college bus comes to hostel to pick up us from there..So no time to do it...But whenever I brush,I do it properly taking time...Sometimes I brush in the night especially if I eat something in night which really gets stuck inbetween the teeth or in the mouth...

I don't know if they have these where you are at, but they make these disposable toothbrushes that you just slide over your finger and use anywhere, with or without water. They're pretty convenient.

I'm also picky about my toothpaste. I'm a big fan of the Colgate Luminous toothpaste, or Colgate Total. I buy special toothpaste for my 4 year old so it's not so harmful if she swallows it.

i brush my teeth two times a day. i think two times is just enough for my teeth.it is not good for your teeth if you brush them too often.

That's true Larry you can over brush your teeth! My dentist told me that you can actually get periodontal disease by overbrushing, something about not giving your mouth time to create natural bacteria.
