Do you go by your heart or head?

No doubt in it I go by my heart Always...:)

i think you started here a very interesting topic dpk. my expiriance have shown me that the best thing is to combaine those two. i usually do listen to my heart and then analyzr rationally the situation. it usually brings out the best solutions.

i used to go by both. In some decisions its important to go by heart rather than head. all depends on situation. So, generally i prefer a mixture of both. yes, there may be the situations where heart and head never matches with each other. at that time i generally try to go by head because heart can be partial. but kya kare dil hai ki maanta nahi.......... regards, shalini

when it comes to tough decisions i always go by my head. Though it hurts me deep inside and suffer too much i believe that the best decision that we can make in our lives is a wise decision, a decision which we can't step on other's foot., or to be for the good of everyone.

I am one who thinks with my head and goes by the advice of the heart. The heart is where your instincts are, those gut feelings that will help keep you out of trouble at times. You absolutely can not ignore the heart. It has very valuable information to share with you at all times.

I am a logical person and I analyze things better making a decision but if I still can't come up with a decision I would go with my gut instincts so I would say I go by both my heart and my head.

Heart is also controlled by the brain. Normal function of the heart is to keep the life moving. We say that sensitive feelings are felt at heart. But actually, the brain is responsible for detecting the heart feelings. Hence one has to analyse using the brain before taking any decision, however small or unimportant the acction may be.

I would say as hard as I try to follow my end I always end up doing what my heart tells me to do . I always want to see the good in everyone so even though I know that I am giving someone a chance that they probably don't deserve , I always look at it as if it was me that was looking for that second or third chance or whatever it is and try to put myself in their place and end up following my heart . Sometimes it works out a very good decision and other times it doesn't but I feel it would be this way even if I were to have followed what my head was telling me as you never know for sure how something will work out until you try .

i am defiantly a heart person. I wear my heart on my sleeve and in return I get hurt a lot. But I have not changed. I continue on being the kind and generous person I am and sometimes I get rewarded for it. So its worth it to me.

Ideally., it has to be a balance of both thought lines... and as much as possible, I do try to weigh what my heart and head tell me. But most of the times though my heart wins the fight as I am quite an emotional person...and that doesn't surprise me if I get hurt sometimes. :)

It really depends. If I can stay rational, then naturally it would be my head. Otherwise, my heart will rule and I will just follow my feelings/instinct.

I have not come across any major decision yet, so I do not know :P I am a logical person, so for most decision making, I go by my head. My heart does rules at times, but ultimately, it will be my head who calls the shots.

I try to use both.Sometimes you just can't use only your heart because you have more then just yourself to consider.

I follow my head. The heart could be clumsy sometimes. The head gives me a reasonable advice.

My head is the major decider..it consults my heart which sometmes knows better..but usually my heart is ignored until my head's satisfied it's done all it possibly could. So far it's helped me survive.

I'd like to say I went with what my head said but I don't. I wouldn't say I go by what my heart says either. After I wiegh the whole situation out I end up going by what my gut instinct says. It usually doesn't steer me wrong.

I got with both. But I think I'm more of the thinking type because I usually think of all the consequences first before I act on my urges. But there are times specially when my emotions are running so high that I just go with what my heart tells me. There are times when I'm disappointed with the result, there are times when I'm not.
