what is the star that appears above some peoples name in mylot?

and what is the number inside it. like i have got some 8 recently .. what does that signify

the higher the number the better the quality of your posts and/or how your posts have been rated on mylot - whether this means you earn more or not I don't know.

I've been away from mylot for a couple of months and I just came back to try and start making some money on here! Anyway, I saw the stars and was wondering the same thing?? Can anyone give us some insight? Thanks in advance for your help!!
