if you are riding a jeepney and somebody is smiling at you,would you smile back?
what if you do not know him, will you feel guilty of snobbing him?
would you smile back to a total stranger?
how would you handle the situation?

I would smile and wave. Of course that is because I grew up in a very small town and there weren't many strangers and even if they were strangers they were nice. ^_^

in this day and age its better to ignore the stranger. you never know whats on his mind if you smile back. it might encourage him to be bold and try getting information from you. Like asking your name and number.
i don't think a jeep is a good setting to meet people. but try to use your own judgement and assess his outward demeanor.
