Everyone wants own the house.. :) I want one for me. I just moved out from my parents' house the last six month, and rent a house which is near to my workplace. For the time being this is ok for me. I will buy a house.. but not sooner. If i settle to that place then i will buy a house... now... may be not, i am not sure whether i want to stay here for a long time or what..

Renting wasn't too bad but i just hated having so much money, going towards helping someone else own their home! I bought as soon as i could so we got out of the rent trap & things are pretty good. We're planning renovations & redecorating in the future, we'll need a loan for the extensions but it wont be a bit one so we'll manage ok! One day in the future i'd like for my partner & i to buy ourselves another house & have this one as a rental so that my daughter will be financially secure later in life :)

I am currently living in my own house.. And I completely feel that its much more secure to have ur own house for staying.. But rented appartments also do as long as u get get good landlords.. I lived 15 years in rented appartments with my family after which we decided to finally shift to our own base...

We bought our first house almost 3 years ago and I like it so much better than renting. We have the freedom to decorate how we please, don't have ot worry about the downstairs neighbors getting annoyed if we are walking around late at night, etc. Plus, we will get our money back plus some when we sell. We have spent quite a bit on maintainence and upgrading, since it is and old house, but we are DIY-ers, and really enjoy that type of thing, so it is great for us.

it's better to have our own house. We do not have to pay rent fee. But it depends on your life and your financial situation now. If you do not have enough money to but your own house, of course it's better to rent a house.

I prefer my own home. I feel that my money is actually doing something for me rather than being put into someone else's pocket. I like being able to do what I want to the house as it is mine rather than being restricted by someone elses rules.

Personally, I'd rather buy/ own a house and that it will be an invest/ saving for my children future. Money is eventually always gone, but house will stay for a long time and the house price hardly going down. But I do know many of people where I live would rather rent a house/ appartment than own a house. For them not only mean freedom since they can just move anywhere they want without have to worry about selling the house but also less maintanance problem.

Everybody wants to have their own house right? So if I will have the money I'd rather buy a house I can call my own than to rent forever.

Own my house. When I was first married my husband wanted to rent. we decided that we would be putting money each month into someone elses pocket instead of investing it in something for ourselves. Our first house was very very tiny, but it was ours. We now live in our 2nd house that we have built. By buying something we could afford and fixing it up, we were able to save to purchase land and have a new house built. We then made double payments on that house, sold and built the one we live in now.

Of course having your own home is the best. who wouldn't want to own a house of there own. Even if they live in it they can rent it out.

I have done both and I have to say I far prefer to rent, it is not so stressful renting, because when you buy there is so much red tape, hassle and chains to go through, I vowed after buying a house never ever to do it again. Renting is far easier if anything goes major wrong then it's not your responsibility, if you need to move you just give a month or two months notice, more freedom and cheaper too, it is virtually impossible to get onto the housing ladder in the UK.

I would prefer to live in a house that we owned. I really don't like apartment living. Apartments tend to be too noisy, especially if someone is living above you. There is also a lack of privacy. I like the freedom of a house that we owned. We can do would we like to it in terms of decorating and in having dogs. I also like having a real garden.

I currently renting an apartment but I have also wished that apartment is my own home. lol. I like the ambiance of my apartment so much. Although it's not really the kind of house i really wanted, but at least the place is safe and I'm used to living there already for almost 2 years now. :)

i prefer to own the house but i will do that only if i would have the money to buy it i really do not want to get into morgage bills i lived in rented appartments since i was 17.5 years old.. so i can say that i had enough of that. but i do think rationally when it is about buying somthing.

Owning is much better than renting in many ways. You can buy a home and have a cheaper monthly payment than you would if you rented. You can also do whatever you want to the house to improve it. You don't have to worry about waiting for the owner to get something fixed if it breaks down. You wouldn't have to worry about the rent price going up either. Owning is a piece of the American dream.

Of course, I prefer to own a home than to rent. Who do not want to own a home? Owning a home is better because you can do some revisions in the house if you dont like the way it is, unlike if you're renting you can not do that. Renting is giving away money for a house that can't be your own. But there are some system now that is called 'rent to own'...meaning you are paying the rent for the house which will be your own by the time you completed paying its full value. We got a house and lot thru a loan and we are still payment monthly amortization for it. We are not yet living in that house because its far from the place where I work and where my kids study. We live in the house / apartment unit that my parents own but we dont pay for its rent.
