Do you find a lot of articles tend to cover the same topic?

When I think of an idea, first I look to see if it's already there. If so, I read the article to see if my take on the subject would be radically different. If not, I scrap the idea. Apparently, others don't do this. I've noticed there are tons of articles about why not to get a pet for Easter. Which is fantastic, but they're of varying quality. A lot of people seem to write pet articles without doing any research or having any experience. Maybe that's just a pet peeve of mine though, as someone who volunteers with various animal rescues, worked in an animal hospital before, and is an animal science student. I don't like to research either, but it annoys me that some people just don't bother at all. Anyhow, this is my Easter bunny article: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/181398/why_easter_is_a_bunnys_least_favorite.html Definitely not a good idea to get a real bunny for Easter, no matter which article you read.

Everyone cannot be expected to go through the pages to see if a topic was covered. The pages move so fast thats pretty much all you would be doing here.I figure peop;e pick the one to reply to and move on to another topic.

Agree , a real bunny is not a good idea for an Easter gift, get a stuffed one.

I don't mean that people should read pages and pages of articles to ensure they don't re-write something. Just to do a quick search, see if the idea is already out there. And if it is, to see if yours is different enough, just quickly look over the other article.

I guess I kind of expected that they would turn down articles that were too similar, which is why I haven't tried posting any. On a stock photo site I participate in, I've had several photos turned down because they thought the subject was overdone already. Even though my photos weren't that similar to those of others.
