There are certain things that we tend to regret buying. For me, it will be a Gameboy i bought around 5 years back on a trip to Thailand. It was a pure wastage of important money, money which would have given me better deals. I still remember that awful day, dont know why i got so attracted to that Gameboy. I was already having a shortage of money in that trip and i wasted it in a useless piece of toy. Gosh, have i had not bought it, life would be somehow better for me.

I've never bought a Gameboy to be honest, I don't like playing computer games much, for me the thing I most regret buying are my research books I bought for my course, they cost me a fortune, there was a list of books we had to buy to help us with our college work, however some of them I didn't even use and some were readily available in the library. Now I've got them lying around unused, such a waste!

Even i have wasted a lot of money in books. I hate it because they are only useful for a year or so, and then after you finish your course, they are of no use for the future.

lol - grat topic vaivhav! I once bought a dress for a wedding that was some months away, it was very expensive but I really liked it and thought it would be an investment. Fast forward to me at the wedding in a maternity dress while my expensive 'investment' hung in the wardrobe at home! After that I never fitted in the dress again - I gave it to a friend ... at least she enjoyed it! xxx

whoa! atleast you tried to buy in advance. sometimes, that's the bad thing about buying in advance. you'll never know what to expect when you already need to wear it. atleast you are able to hand it to a friend who loved it. not much waste at all anymore.

If you want the Gameboy, i am ready to sell it at the cheapest price possible, maybe because i want to get rid of it really badly. Anyway, from what you have said, your DVD player sucks dude. Better purchasing next time around.

The last Dell Computer I bought. I wish I would have spent the extra money to buy a MAC. But you live and you learn. Next time I need a new computer I won't be buying another Dell.

I think that thing is a cellphone. I used to love cellphones that i always force my parents to buy me a new camera phone. But there is one time that i realized that it was not worth it. I could have a simple phone instead of buying expensive ones. They're all the same.

Even i use to have the problem of changing my cell phone to a new one every now and then, and wasted a lot of money in this process, but after having lost 6 phones, i am currently using the cheapest phone available in the market and let me tell you, it sucks....lol..

Whoa! You've lost 6 phones already?! Well i used to lost some phones but not as many as you have. I think i only lost 2 phones. The first one was when i was robbed and the second is i forgot it on a chair. haha!

I'm a frugal person, but the one thing I regret buying or I should say wasting money on is dolls. Your probably sitting there wondering DOLLS. Yes, dolls, and not just any dolls either Barbie dolls. Growing up I never got toys like other kids did. So once I had girls of my own, I went butt wild. I have a total of 80 Barbies. Some of them I wouldn't consider ever worth anything. Now the ones that are worth money are sitting in my Curio all locked up. My husband talked me into taking them out of there boxes, ugh. With the frugal person in me, I didn't spend a lot of money on them. Most I paid was for the Gone With the Wind Barbie collection. Now I wish I didn't go over board.

At first, i really wondered what kinda person you are buying DOLLS at such a age. But let me tell you, theres nothing wrong to it. It even sounds nice to have a big collection of Barbie dolls. I use to collect these G I O soldiers some years back, at the moment they are lying some where grounded in the attic. Doesn't seems to be a wastage of money at all to me.

Oh no!! Why you buy this product in Thailand?? I think Thai product is not good and did not have any quality. If you want a good quality just come and shopping in Malaysia. More safe and have the waranty. I also buy the t-shirt in Thailand but after a few day my shirt damage. Im so regret for buying it. I also regret when I bought the play station last year. When I want to bought it I think I can't be regret but after a few month I felt boring playing play station and I think I have been waste my money. Now, I still think I want to buy the Play Station 3 or not. What is your opinion???

Thai products do suck but what attracts us to buying them are the attractive price tag attached to them, but my Gameboy is working well and good though. I have been to Malaysia, and it was a very good place. The shopping festival out there is also very good. As for your wish to buy a PS3, go forward and buy it if you can afford it.

I would have to say the house we now live in. We bought too soon, and it ended up being a little small for three kids but we survivied! Now that they are grown and the last two are in and out, my husband realizes how cramped it was. Duh! He worked nights for many years and wasn't home much when they were--or he was sleeping. I guess reality took a long time to catch up with him. Ha.

Making a buying mistake in case of houses is really bad. First of all they are real expensive and then you just cant change them.

I really regret spending a lot of money on the 4 dining chairs that I bought 2 years ago. They keep coming apart and I have to keep using the allen keys to tighten them up. They were expensive and now I realise that the quality of these chairs is cheap.

I have seen that a lot of dining chairs being made these days are of bad quality. Next time around, try and do some research before buying them.

i regret buying so many toys for my kids. they have only particular toys they play and the rest were just garbage for them. i regret buying them because they were so very expensive and for me a wastage of money. what i did was to sell them over ebay and im so thankful that it was bought the same amount i bought them since the toys were in very good condition and never been used.

Lucky that you got rid of the unused toys, but at least it wasn't that much of a waste since the toys were for your kids. Nothing is a waste when you buy it for your kids. Well, ebay has really made things very good. Hurray for ebay.

I regret buying a time share. On one vacation to Florida we ended up taking a tour of a great resort and got suckered into buying. It really was great for the first 5 years because we were using it every year. Then came a time that we couldn't use our week and we wanted to exchange for a different week. They added on all these fees and it would have cost us an additional $800 to go another week. I couldn't believe it! Then I found out that they have changed the policy since we bought. It was a huge mistake. It is extremely hard to resell them also, so we are kinda stuck.

well the one thing that i would regret the most in my life would be a computer and an added internet connection to it, because then i find myself always on the internet and find that its difficult for the me to take care for the rest of the things. So, at times i feel that me buying a computer with an inteernet connection is which i regret about.

Naa, i would regret something like a computer with a internet connection considering all the advantages i have gained from them. Even you should recount all the good things a computer have given us.

Shoes,I regret buying shoes...I love shoes, where ever i go I always go to the shoe department..I find all kinds of shoes that i just have to have, they are so cute,I don't need them, but i got to have them..I get so carried away with shoes...I bring them home and sometimes i wear them once, then put them up and forget i have them..I bet I have at least 100 pair of shoes, probably more than that. One time i was cleaning out my closest and I had so many shoes, shoes i had forgotten about..I have all kinds, sandals, loafers, tennis, hight heels.low heels...anyway I could have saved so much money had i not bought the shoes, and i really don't even like some of them and every now and them I give some away...So yes I do regret the money that i have spent on shoes...

You really are a true shoe person...100 pairs of shoes, you gotta be kidding me. Come to think about it, i have about 2 pairs of shoes at the moment, i am more of a sandal person. Atleast the people you give them are lucky enough. Happy shopping.

The thing that I regretted buying the most was a very expensive cellphone (a new one that just came out which almost everyone's crazy about at the time) which ended up being stolen after a month. That really broke my heart for a while there! Well, there are other things that I regret buying because I'm a compulsive buyer. I like buying clothes that are very fancy and I don't even wear them. I can wear them at parties, but then I gained weight so they're just there hanging on the clothesrack. What a waste of money indeed!

Really shocking, cause i have had the same experience 2 years back. I had bought this new cell, a Nokia 7610, having lied to my parents about its cost, which in itself was very costly, and after a month i lost it. But i don't really regret buying it, cause it was a good cell, but i regret the fact that i was irresponsible and had lost it.
