I have 63 cents in my car. That is all the money that I have. I'm down to my last box of pasta, two containers of parmesan cheese, butter, and soy milk that expired four months ago. The electricity will be cut off by tomorrow if it is not paid today, which it wont be, since we dont have the money. I'm short on the rent by half. I have a quarter tank of gas. I've struggled for so long and held it together for this long and now its going to be taken away. I just feel like I'm going to lose it. I just got a new job that I started on Monday and that check won't be here until next Wednesday and its not paying enough to really do anything but its all I have for right now. Im terrified and I feel like I'm about to lose it. I would drink but Im fresh out. I might even take a pill just to sleep but I dont have any. For all of you who are going to say maybe I should contact my family and friends, believe me, all measures to get any help have been exhausted. Therefore, we're not going to be able to eat come Friday, we're not going to have electricity come Thursday, and we won't have anywhere to live come Friday. I feel like I'm going to collapse. I feel like a failure and the pain of it is excrutiating.

This is a horrible situation to be in. And I know how desperate you must feel. But there is always a solution. Even if it means going to the local soup kitchen for dinner. I know, no one wants to have to do that, but feeding your family is important. Perhaps try one of the 'cash n go' places where they will give you money until pay day. that will get you money in a hurry. Do you belong to a church of some sort? they might be able to help you. At least you made one right step, coming onto mylot. We all make money here. And even if it's just enough to put gas in your car, well that's something.

Sometimes thing seem pretty bleak. I say that, as someone who spent some time sleeping on a park bench, in my late teens. I realize this discussion is a week old, and all sorts of things may have happened in the meantime, but you might consider applying for a small grant (not a loan, a grant) from an organization like Modest Needs ( http://www.modestneeds.org ) which provides temporary "bridge" funding for people who have temporarily fallen on hard times. There's a fair amount of documentation involved, but then process pretty quickly, once your paperwork is in. And many people who can show they are "good folks, trying hard, but having a temprary setback" have these small grants approved. It's just a thought.

that's a hard place to be. the thing is that all is not lost... you have money for the rent so at least you have a place to lay your head. you have your car with some gas in it, so that's a blessing. do you have enough gas to get to catholic charities, or the salvation army? because sometimes they have programs where they will help you with the electricity. also, if you don't have any charities like that (that you know of) then go to social services and they should be able to help you find some type of solution for your current situations. i know that it's easier said than done... but try not to let this stress you out (just remember that what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. it's important to NEVER let your situations destroy you). I'll keep you in prayer. good luck!
