What brought you to myLot? And what keeps you coming back?

Just wondered what you guys think is best about myLot. Is it meeting friends? Or earning money? Or getting information? Or improving your skills with another language?
There are so many reasons to be here!
As for me, I like to meet people from all over the world & talk to people who have like interests. But I also like to talk to people who have different views on life. Sometimes it makes me think ~ or even change my opinion.
Does anyone else have similar views? Would love to hear what you think! :)

Initially a friend told me about MyLot as a way of earning a little bit of money and as I enjoy writing it seemed like a good idea. I have since met some wonderful people here, made friends with folks across the world and enjoyed some great discussions.
