I want to delete my mylot profile and can't figure out how. I have been on here for 3 weeks and have only one discussion that got alot of replies. I answered alot and added friends who said add me and I will answer your discussions but they didn't, even after I answered tons of theirs. So I am leaving and I want to know if anybody knows how to delete my profile.

As I know there isn't any way that you can delete your account but i don't understand the meaning of your topic here.If you really want live mylot just do it.There is no need to delete your account, but first be sure you live for the right reasons...becouse you want and not because the people that didn't come to you after you response to them. This happen to all of us time to time. Anyway I didn't see the tons of responses too.You have only 74 total.

It's not just the response to my discussions, I sent a couple of pm's and got no response back. Would it be considered rude if I just deleted them and made new "friends"?

If you sent them pm and they don't even bother to response in few days(always you can see if they was here to see your pm)you have all the right to delete them. I always say that here the important isn't how much friends you ave but how GOOD friends they are.I hope you find soon good friends here.

I have to agree with the first reply. And 73 replies in three weeks isn't exactly a ton. Most people here answer that much in a couple of days or less. I'm one of the slow ones and I would consider 73 less than a week's work. Concentrate of finding interesting discussions by using the discussion types at the left, and by selecting some interests. That will get you a lot further than depending on people who just want you to be their friends so that you will read their discussions.

yeah get yourself on that search bar at the top. Type in wwords connected to your home town, holiday destination, career keywords, stuff that you are more likely know about.

I didn't want to appear rude or mean by walking away from my friends discussions. Maybe instead of leaving I should just delete the ONE friend that has me all tangled up and wanting to Quit. Also I have posted more than 74 responses only I don't get credit for it because sometimes i read a discussion I don't agree with and post a reply under someone elses comment that I do agree with. They said what I wanted to say, I know thats crazy but when someone tells them just what I feel I have to agree.

There is no need for you to delete your profile. You could just choose to not come back. If they delete your existence form here then they would have to rework everyones payments probably. There are over 84,000 people on myLot so you can imagine the amount of thigns that are posted here daily. It takes alot of time to build up "friendships" with people were they continually keep an eye out for yours. Normally it happens with alot of private messaging and when you find that you have soemthing in common. Don't take things here too personally as I am sure people did not mean to make you feel unwelcome. I think maybe they forgot how hard it is when you are new here and are seeing all the top discussions all the time. Look at my profile page. I don't get many discussions but yet I supposidlty have tonnes of friends. You have only made 73 posts which actually isn't that much. You should stay til you get your star and then you can use that as a guide to how well you are doing. Hold your mouse over my star and it will say 94/100. To me that means I ma alot better than loads of people here. Obviosuly not everyone. There is tinnes of higher 9's and 10's here. Don't let it bog you down. Take care, Claire PS. And I really am going to look at your discussions and see which ones I want to repond to. please do not take offence if they don't all take my fancy.

I didn't know what the star meant but I do know that's what peoples main goal on here is, getting their star. Why is that? What's the big deal with the star?

Once you reach 100 you get your star, 10 is highest. When you rate peoples responses it works out all the info and give you a score out 100. Hold you mouse over my star and you will see I am a 94. This means that mine are of good quality but anyone higher than that is supposidly better. But when people start giving everyone a +ve then it doesn't work. You should only give it to well thought out responses that contribute to the discussion in hand. Your number can change as people + and - you.

I don't know how to do that, but are you for real? I've had a ton of experience with community sites - and 3 weeks is NOTHING to base a site on. Give it some time! This site has nearly 85,000 members, and if you're going to pack it in after only 3 weeks, I wonder how you would fare on any internet community site. You can't go into these things expecting that people will automatically take notice of you, and respond to your discussions. Firstly - not everyone is on the net 24/7 to watch for new submissions, secondly, your "friends" might have stuff of their own to attend to, as well. I'm willing to bet a lot of members here go to school and work, and probably have lives outside of the internet that need attending to as well. I'm not meaning to jump all over you or anything, but give it some time. I've been here a month, and spent most of that time answering discussions. I've only posted two of my own, neither of which were successful and one was actually a repeat discussion (I didn't know the first one existed). I'm just saying, this is a pretty big site, there's a ton of stuff getting submitted all the time, but you have to just plod along, and do your thing and bide your time. There's people who've been here quite a long time, and had thousands of posts and I'm willing to bet no one was a mylot celebrity from the get-go. Give it a chance.

I'm not on here all the time myself either. I am aware there are some of my "friends" have things of their own to do, like me they have children. I guess I was just having a bad day where nothing was going right, even this discussion.
