So I ordered an Item and paid on March 23. Still havent recieved it so I contacted the seller and she said that she mailed it March 30, and it was first class coming from Virginia. So I wait a couple of days and still nothing. Then in todays mail I recieve a package that was shipped first class mail from Arizona on April 2nd! SO now I am getting slightly irritated with the seller so I email again, tell her what happened with the other package and she says sorry she can't control the post office and maybe it got on the wrong truck, there's nothing she can do. Well I'd hav to disagree since she has a tracking number and it has not been updated, maybe she should actually show some effort and call the post office or at least lie and say she called the post office. I feel like I am getting the brush off. Should I file a claim with paypal or wait longer? What would you do?

If she has sent you the tracking number, you at least know that she sent it when she said she did. That's really all you can expect of her for right now. 5 days in the mail is not really that long for a package, especially if she sent it by the cheapest (therefore slowest) option available. Parcel post states it takes 5-14 days to ship, I think. Besides, it is near a holiday, so that always slows down the mail. I would wait at least two weeks from the shipping date to pursue the matter further. Also, if she can prove she shipped it to the correct address, and you did not buy shipping insurance on the item, you are pretty much SOL, my friend. You will have to take the matter up with the USPS yourself. Good luck, and I hope your package arrives soon.

Just because a label is created doesn't mean the package was actually posted at that date. It just means she printed a label off her pc at that date whether she actually posted then is anyone's guess. I had an incident where I had printed the label got the package ready thought it had gone out with the other mail and it hadn't it was sitting on a table that I rarely ever looked at (and it was a small package also) and I wasn't aware that I hadn't gotten it out in the mail till my buyer contacted me then I apologized profusely and offered the buyer the shipping costs refunded since they were going to recieve the package later than they expected. Mix ups happen but if a seller is not willing to work with a buyer it usually means something is rotten.

Sweet's right, if there is a note that the lable was made, it doesn't mean she has actually mailed it. Of course, it doesn't mean she hasn't either. I have gotten a few packages before the USPS tracking ever updated ( and the packages weren't very fast in arriving, either). Maybe check her seller reviews and see if this has happened to other buyers, that would be a major red flag, but I would still wait another week to see if it arrived. Again, lots of people send gifts at easter time, so it may have just gotten delayed. Best of Luck.

Hi! Well she sent a tracking number, but it doesn't come up with anything, it just says something like the seller created a lable on march 28th and that doesnt indicate ship date, just when the label was printed, so really it could be anyone's tracking number, I have been giving her the benefit of the doubt that she is being honest. Its coming first class, which in her auction states a delivery time of 2-5 days. I would have upgraded to priority however that was not an option. Hopefully it will arrive soon!

It happened to me before I waited for one week then I file a complaint with both ebay and paypal and within days the seller contacted me and apologised. In the end I got full refund. I'm a seller myself I always ask my customer to wait for the lenght of time that is suggested by post office. Then I'll give them full refund. Because it's not my fault I can claim my ebay final value fee back from ebay, and get the postage cost+ cost of the item from the post office.

First of all, file a claim with PayPal and do not close that claim until the situation is resolved. The seller is responsible for getting the item to you and should make sure the tracking number shows exactly where the item is. I understand the length of time before you can claim from the post office is around 15/20 days, and the seller is the one to claim.

It happens with most of these kinds of dealings and transactions. Even if they assure us prompt delivery and the maximum duration to reach the goods after despatch, normally it seldom reaches on time. It would be therefore ideal to keep a continuous follow up with the seller till the items reach the destination.

If you paid for it with pay pal go to pay pal and file a claim they will get you your money back if the person can not prove they mailed it. I hate people who do that.Hope this helps and you get your money back.

paypal get your money back if they can get the money form the seller, and that a a big if sometimes. i recently filed a claim and won, but because they can't contact the seller i receieved no money. just wanted people to know that sometimes you don't get yor money back. it stinks, but it's true.

So did your post mean that the item you received was for something else? I was a seller on eBay and often worried about things arriving and people getting cross. I was lucky and it only happened a couple of times that things got lost - one I was never really sure that it did or whether she was conning me. It is a matter of trust and she has no real proof that you have not received it either. I would wait a little longer if her feedback has been good. I think you have a month to get a refund from Paypal. I hope it turns up and all is well. Can you let us know. Thank you.

the post office doesn't used tracking numbers. they just have delivery comfirmation to prove to the buyer that the item WAS shipped. Please don't freak out on this person. I got claims filed against me in early january because a package of mine got lost in the mail that I was sending and almost lost my paypal and ebay account because of a mistake on the post office's part. If it's not in in a couple of weeks (because it might get sent back to the seller), just kindly ask for a refund. if they refuse the refund, THEN file a claim. I just can't stand when people file claims before they even ask for a refund for the item. Because she's right, she CAN'T control the post office and they lose crap all the time. the delivery comforimation won't tell her OR you where that package is; it only tells you that it has been sent.

I am an eBay Seller and I see nothing wrong with what this Seller did. She is right that once the item leaves her hands for the Post Office she is not responsible, most Sellers state this in their auction. Also, it does not matter where it was post marked, you received the item, so unsure why you are disputing this sale. What you should do is leave positive feedback for this Seller that the item ws shipped and what you ordered instead of trying to cause this Seller problems. Our fees are high enough and selling is not what it used to be, so give some understanding to this Seller that you did receive your item and it was what you ordered.

I really dont think that its the sellers fault because the post office isnt under her control. You can try calling the post office up to check and wait. Maybe theres a delay because its Easter season. As long as she has proof of posting it you really cant file a claim as it will be turned down. The postal service is known for delays and I think its beyond anyones control. How much did you spend on the item? My sympathies for you and I hope you do get it ASAP! Do update us.

I had this problem with one of my orders one time also . I waited and for over a month and a half before I got my order but in the end I did get it . I would wait a little longer but if you feel she is giving you the runaround then definitely put in a claim with Paypal and I believe there is a place a complaint with ebay as well about the person you are having a problem with so they can check it out . Best of luck !!

I sell and buy alot on Ebay and the mail does take a long time, sometimes. If she is being snotty and all I would go ahead and file a complaint with PayPal, then if you do get the package you can always cancel the complaint. If she is being rude she doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt and have you waiting longer! I would go ahead and complain if I thought she was being rude.

I think you are being too hard on her. I'm an ebay seller and you really can't control the post office and even if she called and checked on the package that doesn't mean it will get to you any quicker and first class shipping can take that long. If it was Priority that guarentees delivery in 2-4 days then she could have done something about it. Really for the most part the post office doesn't even help you unless the package is really late... and yours isn't that late at all. First class mail according to the post office can take up to 14 days. Cut her some slack I'm sure it will be there in a couple of days.

well..i would give her 10 days max from the time she said she mailed it..although i feel she has ripped you off..but ya never know..anyways..you cant file from ebay until 30 days i believe./.and im not sure about paypal..but deff after that amount of time report her bum..im sorry your goin threw this..i have been there once when i forst started Ebay..but havent had issues since..thats why i never ever ever order anything from anyone that has anything less than 99% maybe 98% depending on the situation of the neg responses or how bad i really want the item..i wish ya luck hun!

If she had mailed it first class (is this the same as priority mail?) on the 30th you should have recieved it by now. She probably told you that date but actually neglected to post the package till you contacted her. If you haven't got it in a couple of days I would start a complaint against the seller through ebay. I am both a seller and buyer on ebay so I know both sides but it is just poor business practices to blow off a buyer. The least she could have done was tell you she would look into it. By the way what did her feedback look like? I always check both on my bidders and on those I want to buy from. Sometimes they have great feedback and their service to you sitll sucks but usually one who has great feedback also provides great service.

I will wait for a few more days. I sold something on ebay a few months ago.The buyer is in America. The day when i received the order, I shipped out the items, and meanwhile I took the pictures of the itemand emailed them to the buyer. After that, a long period passed and my client emailed me and told me that he had not received the item. I told him to wait for a few more days.and I went to the post office to check what happened. The clerk in the post office told me to wait for 2 or three weeks for the reply. I explained the situation to the buyer. The buyer is really a nice man. He said he could wait for some days. but after a week,he still had not received the item. This time felt so sorry for the late delivery. I emailed to the buyer and told him I felt so sorry for what was happening here and I would return back his money the next day.The good buyer asked me not worry too much, he would wait for another couple of days. two days later, the buyer emailed me and informed me that he had received the item. what an amazing experience it is. From my story, I suggest you wait for a few mopre days. good luck to you and hope you will have a satisfactory ending.

you are lucky, at least you get the goods from seller. I have met that when i paid, i contacted the seller the next day, there no answer, i found i was cheated. And what more usual is that you may get the different goods from you book in the net. Seller's description of some items always seemed great and perfect, it attract you to buy, but when you receive the package and open it, you will find the one is far from your expection. Usually the longer you use, the more problems you will find. I think it caused by the poor credit of sellers and the bug of internet trade.

Wait a little longer, and then contact eBay about it.
