Thank you very much for this very important information. There is always someone out there screwing things up for the others. I use Stop Sign Accelleration every single time I leave the internet. I completely sign out of the yahoo browsers, I then run the stop sign accelleration virus remover. It works great for me. I use to use Nortan Anti Virus but it was not any good. It would find the viruses but could never delete them. I then tried Accelleration and it wipes out many spyware and other unwanted devices people try to give my computer. I got a Trojan about 1 year ago and it messed me up badly!! I tried everything to get rid of it and I finally had to get in touch with H.P. and they had to wipe my computer clean. They had to put it back to it's origional restore point and set it on it own defaults it had when I purchased it. I then had to put everything back on it subject buy subject, piece by piece. Very aggravating. I tried everything to get rid of it but had to do the $75.00 restore thing through the company I got it from, HP. I got mine from opening e-mails from people I didn't no but had something interesting enough for me to open it up and that trojan jump into the system. Thanks for sharing this much needed information. Kaycees world

3 weeks ago, my computer was victimized by a F***ing Trojan Horse... With the help of AVG 7.5 (available at www.grisoft.com, or at the mall near you) my computer was treated... now, i never fear of those unwanted viruses that invades my system...

What about spyware-doctor? Is it working with your computer or not? Please load its latest version to prevent spying from computer. I haven't found any link in myLot behaving as in yours case. Of course, my computer has spyware-doctor and norton also. Thanks.

Hello there! Thanks for the advice. This is something I never thought of, that poeple's referral links on this site can and may be infected.

did you report this to mylot? are they aware of this situation? this really stinks! my situation got so bad that i switched over to linux in desperation. you don't even have to be on a vulnerable website to get 'snagged'.

I think you mean "hacked" not "hijacked." But, I think I like "hijacked" better!

ouch. I run Norton Antivirus as my main protection. I also use ccleaner on a regular basis. To adware scan when things get messy I use Spybot. If none of these fix my problems I run hijackthis and save the logfile. There's a site online (for the life of me I can't think of it right now) that you can upload your logfile to in the forum and it has a program that will go through it and tell you what's wrong and how to fix the files.

Try an online scan here: http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/ If you are desperate, try HijackThis!. It will look for suspicious registry entries, one of which is likely linked to the offender. You can copy and paste the link in a forum, and wait for a response. You can PM me if you want with the log file, and I'll analyze it for you.
