How about starting out by buying some healthy foods that are yummy? I'm the biggest chocolate addict ever, but there are some granola type bars that are better than candy bars! (Check out Boomi bars, Luna bars, etc!) If you try to push him into healthier eating too fast, he will probably just resist. Baby steps!

Tell him you are no longer sexually attracted to him because his fingernails are permanently stained Cheetos yellow and that he will have to sleep in a separate room from now on because you can't stand the stench of putrid farts that he lets out at night. Who knows, it might work.

We had this problem with our kids. I'd buy cookies and other junk food, but would also buy apples and other fruit. The kids would eat the junk and ignore the healthy stuff. It dawned on me if I didn't buy the junk or at least not as much, they couldn't eat it. That made a big difference. When I fix supper I always fix a vegetable along with the main meal. Another thing I do is slice up an apple as a side dish to go along with supper. Other times it may be a cucumber. I also buy those fruit cups. Convenient and good! This has worked pretty well for me.

Stop buying any kind of junk food. If there is less junk food lying around the house, it is less likely that he will be able to munch on them. Try getting healthier options. Look around for snacks with less fat, calories, etc. For example, if he likes nuts, get him to eat almonds (the unsalted kind).
