Well i used AVG free edition. But hearing from you all mcafee might be better than AVG but mcafee doesn't come for free. Can anyone tell me from where can i download mcafee free of cost.

I was using AVG but I recently switched to AVAST which is also free and quite effective as well it offers the ability to remove virus's which AVG does not.

yah i changed to pc cillin because avg couldnt detect all types of virus...... is mcafee effective?

I use Anti Vir for this PC.. coz it works and it really helps you with the viruses scanned before downloading anything.

We have tried pc cillin, mcaffee, norton, and now we are using avg free edition which we have downloaded from the avg site. I think this is better than the rest that we have tried.

I used kaspersky internet security 6.0.2.614 :) it's the best after all...never try it, how it give it a try then you'll see what i mean

I use Avast (www.avast.com). I think it's the best. Free, quick auto-update, high detection rate, few memory usage. Try it.

I have AVG on my work computer and AntiVir on my personal computer. Both work well. AntiVir is great because it doesn't interfere with my other security programs, and all virus attempts have been automatically blocked.
